We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

De 2e keer dat we bij Christina verbleven. We voelden ons weer erg welkom en thuis. Ons eigen huisje net buiten het centrum, nabij strand: goed beloopbaar of met citybus.

Liebe Kallia, Danke dir noch mal, dass du uns in deinem zauberhaften Haus am Ende der Welt hast wohnen lassen. 😊 Wir haben die Zeit bei dir sehr genossen. Wer eine sehr ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Meeres sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. In Sitia findet man viele Geschäfte und Restaurants. Ein Lidl ist etwa 20 Minuten entfernt. Danke für alles. Wir haben Ende Mai / Anfang Juni 2025 zwei wundervolle Wochen in dem Haus von Pinelopi verbracht. Es ist alles wie beschrieben! Die Terrasse ist einfach wunderbar und schön im Grünen sowie mit Meerblick. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist zentral und sehr, sehr ruhig. Pinelopi ist eine exzellente Gastgeberin! Wir wurden persönlich und herzlich empfangen. Es standen eine Flasche Olivenöl, Wein und Raki sowie ein ein Teller mit frischen Obst bereit. Darüber hinaus mehrere Flaschen Wasser. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Sauberkeit. Pinelopi ist jederzeit ansprechbar, darüber hinaus gibt sie unzählige Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps. Fazit: Wir waren rundherum begeistert Nochmals vielen herzlichen Dank.

Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, modern en ruim, maar toch heel gezellig en romantisch. Prettig bed van 160x200cm. Stevig matras. Wij zijn lange mensen van 1.80m en 1.96m en sliepen goed. Het is heel stil in de omgeving en de slaapkamer. De buitenruimtes zijn prettig, er is altijd een plek te vinden in de zon, of juist in de schaduw, of uit de wind. Het was twee dagen koud, 12 graden, toen hebben wij de open haard gebruikt, ook comfortabel. De douche en warm water is goed. Wasmachine goed. De keuken is erg compleet, er is meer servies en benodigdheden dan ik thuis heb. Je zou uitgebreid kunnen koken en zelfs een taart kunnen bakken. Het is een heel rustige omgeving. In Sitia zijn meerdere erg goede restaurants. Er zijn weinig bezienswaardigheden in de buurt, maar wij houden van natuur, wandelen en rust. Andere leuke dorpen zijn minimaal 1,5-2,5 uur rijden vanwege de berg wegen. Zowel de eigenaar als verhuurder waren vriendelijk en reageerden snel op vragen.

Andreas house was a great find! What a beautiful outlook- views over the bay and the marina with the sun rising over the villa in the morning and cool, shady balconies in the afternoon and evening. It is a 2 minute walk from a small beach with lovely cafe/bar and 2 tavernas. A few hundred metres further is the sandy Almyros beach. The centre of Agios is about a 15/20 minute walk and the bus station is also in walking distance. Lots of places to visit by bus - very easy to use and cheap too! We discovered the free city bus on the last day there! The villa is perfect for a couple but could accommodate more than 2. Very clean with a washing machine which meant we were able to travel light with a small cabin bag each. Andreas was an attentive and helpful host who was happy to provide useful local information. I would be happy to recommend this property.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Wir haben uns sehr wohgefühlt. Die meiste Zeit haben wir auf der Terrasse verbracht. Die Wohnung ist praktisch eingerichtet - für ein einfaches Frühstück und Essen findet man alles, was man braucht. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, hatten sogar ein paar Kleinigkeiten und Obst bereitgestellt. Sie haben uns auch eine nette Nachricht mit Ausflugstipps geschickt. Wir haben uns sofort in den Diaskari Beach verliebt - ein nicht so überlaufener (jedenfalls Anfang Juni) Strand, ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt mit einer netten Taverne und Hängematten am Strand.

We absolutely loved this villa, Mania very kindly greeted us at Midnight as we had a late flight, and yes the reviews are right, she arrived with the most amazing moussaka and even made a vegetarian one. Mania was always available for any advice/recommendations and managed the tricky combination of being present but not intrusive. There was also a really thoughtful welcome gift of homemade food waiting for us. The kitchen was really well equipped, and super clean, we ate in a lot and enjoyed dinners on the covered terrace. We loved the pool, the kids especially, we spent a lot of time in the pool as it was very hot. The beds were comfy, the rooms all have their own bathroom, and terraces, there was lots of thoughtful touches throughout. The garden is beautiful and I don't think we managed to sit in all the different seating areas in the week. The winner for me was the decor, it was so beautiful, it was like staying in house in a Home Decor magazine. We will definitely come back.

Sehr schöne neue Villa, mit einem tollen Poolbereich. Eine Outdoorküche mit Spielbereich für die Kinder ist auch vorhanden im unteren Teil der Anlage. Gute Möglichkeit für Unternehmungen. Nicht weit zum Strand.

Wat een prachtig en comfortabel huis! Wij verbleven hier met 8 personen en elk tweetal had een fijne kamer met badkamer (één kamer heeft een wc en wastafel; geen douche). De keuken is erg goed geoutilleerd. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is er! We hebben daardoor ook meerdere keren gekookt. De woonkamer is niet zo groot, maar op Kreta leef je toch bijna altijd buiten. En die buitenruimte is geweldig! Een heerlijk zwembad met lekker fris water, heel veel zitjes en ligbedden, een hele grote eettafel, een prachtige boomhut met nog meer chill-plekken en zowel zon als schaduw. Er zijn 3 supermarkten op loopafstand, een bakker, een slager, 3 tavernes… perfect! Het strandje op 1 minuut lopen, is prima. Mooiere stranden vind je met een kleine autorit. Voor de grotere bezienswaardigheden en stadjes moet je wel wat langer rijden. Dat is wellicht het enige nadeel… Maar wij komen hier heel graag nog eens terug!

Ήταν όλα τέλεια! Ένα όμορφο μέρος που προσφέρει ακριβώς αυτά που υπόσχεται. Κοντά στην πόλη της Ιεράπετρας για οτιδήποτε χρειαστεί αλλά κ αρκετά και ταυτόχρονα ήσυχο ώστε να προσφέρει την ηρεμία που χρειάζεται κάποιος για να ξεκουραστεί.

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

We highly recommend this location. Beautiful accommodation with stunning surroundings. All the staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. The home cooked food was nothing short of fantastic. Particularly wonderful was the samples of traditional food (not on the menu) offering a real insight into local homemade dishes. The estate includes fruit trees, vegetables, walnut trees and much more. Guests are welcome to eat the fruit. A short walk takes you up into the pine forest, with shaded paths, local gardens and animals on route. Don’t pass up the opportunity to stay here!

Voor de tweede keer verbleven in Villa Atalandia, en het was opnieuw een droomvakantie. Vanaf het hartelijke welkom door Faidra, die ons een rondleiding gaf en een prachtig welkomstgeschenk aanbood, voelden we ons meteen thuis. We vierden iets speciaals en werden verrast met een extra attentie, wat de ervaring nóg persoonlijker maakte. De villa straalt oog voor detail uit, met stijlvolle schilderijen, bedlinnen en handdoeken met logo. De BBQ onder de sterrenhemel was romantisch, en de zwembaden waren heerlijk schoon en goed onderhouden. De villa draait op zonnepanelen en heeft een eigen waterzuiveringsinstallatie, wat bijdraagt aan het veilige en milieuvriendelijke gevoel. De uitgebreide map met tips voor uitstapjes en restaurants was erg handig, en de boottocht naar Koufonisi was perfect georganiseerd. Een ideale plek voor een rustige gezinsvakantie met prachtige uitzichten, romantische restaurants en een adembenemende route van de luchthaven naar de villa.

Nuestra estancia ha sido un regalo de paz y tranquilidad en un apartamento independiente con su propia rerraza y barbacoa dentro de la finca. Nos sentimos como en casa. Todo estaba limpísimo y encontramos algunos extras en la cocina (agua, cerveza, café...) que agradecimos mucho. Mel y Micchael son fantásticos anfitriones, encantadores, amables y respetuosos. Nos facilitaron un compendio de buenas recomendaciones de la zona este de Creta y también todo lo que necesitábamos. La piscina compartida siempre estuvo disponible para nosotros, y los gatitos nos han enamorado. Estamos muy agradecidos con Mel y Micchael, les deseamos lo mejor. Si volvemos al este de Creta desde luego que repetiremos!

The villa was so beautiful, very stylish and fulfilled all of our needs for a peaceful getaway in the sun. Yannis and Zoe left lots of local treats for us to try when we arrived and the whole villa was equipped with thoughtful bits and bobs that were very handy to have! They also sent us a long list of local beach/food recommendations that was extremely useful! Etia is a lovely tiny hamlet and feels very special to have the chance to stay in, the surrounding ruins and landscape make the place private and quiet, perfect if you love nature. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be sure to visit again!

Our stay in Agios Ioannis at Luisa’s traditional Cretan cottage was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! How to sum it up in one review… To start, Luisa was so friendly and helpful when it came to giving us directions to get to the remote village, a flexible check-in time, and TONS of local recommendations. The house itself was spectacular. The patio views of the mountains and sea were absolutely breathtaking and the garden was a private and lovely spot to spend our mornings in. Truly a sacred place, we felt very at home and loved the traditional charm and being so close to nature. We were still within a 15 minute drive to lots of great beaches, restaurants, markets, and hikes, despite being so high up in the mountains. Luisa provided us with everything we needed to have a very special getaway, even inviting us over for dinner in our last night. Cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for the perfect place to experience Crete, this is it! We cannot wait to return!

Very helpful and always easy to contact host. Unfortunately we experienced a technical fault with the heating, but Jan organised an electrician for the following morning and the problem was solved in less than 24 hours. It couldn't have been better managed. All in all, a fantastic place and lots of wonderful memories were made.

Die Unterkunft ist super schön mit traumhaften Aussenbereich zum Grillen und Kochen. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen und der Host ist super lieb und gut organisiert. Der Flughafen ist recht nahe was selten laut sein kann aber sehr angenehm zum anreisen. Empfehlung wenn man in die Region Heraklion möchte

Le logement était parfait : très propre, bien situé et avec la climatisation ! L’hôte est gentille et ses instructions et recommandations nous ont beaucoup aidé. Je recommande vivement ! 😊

Fantastic stay at this wonderful village house in beautiful peaceful Milatos, we cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, exactly as pictured and described , host was amazing as was the delicious meal she left for our first night! Great amenities within house too. Great location to drive through mountains to elounda and agios Nikoliaos , we went straight south to beaches there too. All the restaurants on the front were amazing bar with no name fab through to Socrates so friendly and cheap €45 for two with wine . Old neighbour we sat and had a beer with although dialect was limited. Thank you again we will be back and telling everyone to come 🥰

Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte in der wir bisher waren! Das kleine Haus ist abgelegen, komplette Ruhe & entschleunigung! Wir haben die Tage hier sehr genossen, die Terrasse unterm Haus lädt dazu ein in der Sonne zu liegen, zu lesen und den Ausblick zu genießen. Der Ausblick ist grandios, sogar vom Bett aus. Der Weg ist abenteuerlich und nichts für schwache Nerven mit dem Auto - extrem steil und eher für Geländewagen, wir haben es aber hingekriegt auch mit einem kleinen Mietwagen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und alles was man braucht ist da. Nach Mochlos ist es zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten! Sehr empfehlenswert für alle die Ruhe suchen!

Le logement de Maria est situé dans un petit village qui n'est pas touristique,si on recherche calme et authenticité c'est l'endroit idéal.Alors certes nous avons un peu cherché mais un habitant du village nous y a gentiment amenés.Outrd que l'appartement est très bien notre hôtesse nous a laissé plein de victuailles et nous la remercions à nouveau pour sa générosité assez exceptionnelle.
