Lovely lady, Jackie. I was welcomed by her who explained clearly about how to settle in. I went to the west coast of Scotland to take photos. As such I would get out of my hiding before sunrise and would get back in after dark. I just wanted a clean, safe and peaceful place to rest before the next day. Jackie's place provided me with that. Thank you :)

The accommodation is very well located, Ronnie is very responsive and Rosie is really a lovely person, a real ray of sunshine. We slept very well! You can do everything on foot, SPAR, PUB/Restaurant and even breakfast in a very nice little restaurant "Thyme and Paice". A very good room to take a break on the road.

We had a great stay! The room was very tidy and comfortable with a spotless bathroom. We had some difficulty finding an uber to and from the location and had to use a taxi which caused us to arrive later than expected.

Tower Room Highlands of Scotland at Holly Lodge

SamRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Fiona was a delightful host and the accommodation fairly priced. A full cooked breakfast is included if not encouraged. I was in the single, tower room which although small had delightful views over the surrounding hills. Strapeffer is seemingly a old victorian spa town with a whiff of an Indian hill station about it. It would make a good stop on the way to Ullapool and the West coast or as for me on my way to the Orkneys in the North.

Kincora B&B

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Exceptional hosts and accommodation that we can definitely recommend! We spent two nights at Kincora B&B and had a great stay. Our host Kate did everything to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Upon our arrival in the late evening, we were warmly welcomed with tea and pastries and were shown everything. In the morning there was a delicious generous Scottish breakfast that left nothing to be desired. She regularly inquired about our well-being and satisfaction, was always approachable and available to us. The place was very cozy, well maintained and super clean. We also liked the quiet location by the lake in the Highlands. Kate and her husband are very warm and hospitable people with whom we had a nice conversation and who helped make our Scotland trip unforgettable. We will be happy to come back!

We thoroughly loved our overnight stay at Marichu's place. John was very friendly, helpful and VERY responsive. Loved a chat, so did we! Comfortable bed and clean linen. Bathroom spotless. We enjoyed a meal at the Golpsie Inn and enjoyed a chat with the locals. John prepared the best home-cooked breakfast and the best black pudding. My poached eggs perfect! Loved our walks along the beach. Very peaceful and relaxing. Many thanks. Libby and Alan Hamilton Melbourne AUSTRALIA
