We felt so fortunate that our previous booking fell through when we arrived in Lafayette and Paz was so kind to accept our request and organize her cleaners right away to prepare the place for us. We felt right at home with the comfortable furnishings, eclectic decor, well stocked kitchen, and patio spaces. One of our (adult) daughters said that we may have lost a pool (the previous booking) but we gained a treehouse (which is really more our style). Paz and her son Eli were quick to respond to our requests, and we couldn’t have been more happy with our stay.

The stay here was incredible! Not only was it more than accommodating, the house had everything we needed. My family and I were extremely comfortable and my daughter felt right at home! This home was even better than the pictures! I absolutely enjoyed our stay!

This is the absolute perfect getaway to unwind and relax, with pastures all around you and an abundance of wildlife 🐦‍⬛ It is beyond peaceful with no traffic noises to wake you at night, which was a blessing having my 1 year old with us! My favorite part was the fully stocked kitchen! I am an avid cook and baker, and I was delightfully surprised to see everything I needed to bake anything I wanted🙂 We will definitely make this our go to place when we are visiting Iowa or surrounding areas!

My crew was doing a job in town and this place worked out great for us. The location was close enough to be to and from the job site quickly but also secluded enough that it was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were responsive and very helpful from us arriving late at and night and leaving a little early. This will be my first choice of houses to stay at next time we come back.

I loved the peaceful mornings spent sipping coffee on the porch while listening to the gentle sounds of nature. Overall, my time at the farmhouse was rejuvenating and delightful. This was our favorite stay of our AirBnB stays to date. The house was clean, comfortable, quiet & peaceful. Bryan was friendly & responsive. The ping pong table was a hit. We would absolutely recommend Bryan's place and would definitely look at staying if we're in Baton Rouge again.

Place is nice. it's just what we needed. There was a small problem, and Jonathan immediately responded and fixed the issue. Also, checkout is a BREEZE! Nothing crazy to do. We just rinsed the dishes and took out the trash. Great host. If I find myself in Baton Rouge I'll try to book this again

We didnt get in until well after midnight, had a little trouble finding the place. Gps sent me a block or so away. She answered even tho it was so late and helped me find the place. We didnt get to enjoy the lake because we left early for our travels home, but we will definitely be back when we can enjoy the beautiful place! Beds were like sleeping on clouds. So we got some amazing well needed rest!

Very cool industrial loft style place, unexpectedly cool for Lafayette. Walking distance to everything in downtown core, and central to all Lafayette attractions. Great communication, etc from hosting team. Only niggle is also a positive. The unit is extremely dog friendly, including a fenced grassy rear area, which is awesome! But there are multiple dog-friendly units in same building. Being an older converted industrial building, the dogs in different units can be heard, and can hear each other. So I’d make sure to bring a kennel, put your dog in one of the bedrooms, use some white noise for them and/or you, just to minimize pup ‘cross-woof :)’. But again, such an amazing space, well stocked, super cool (wait until you see the glass ‘window bricks’!), and was fantastic. Loved it!

What a delightfully inviting country retreat--definitely an artsy cabin and peaceful sanctuary in the woods! I'm sure I'll be back to enjoy again the natural beauties and delights of the area, the history and culture and cuisine there too, and this home away from home too.

This was a special place. Felt private and peaceful.. Had a great porch with rocking chairs. Very comfortable bed. One of the nicest and cleanest places we have stayed. Thank you for having us. We look forward to returning!

The cabin was super cute. The windows in the front offered an amazing sunrise and sunset. The living area and kitchen were super cute. The only thing I didn’t like was the full sized bed in the downstairs bedroom…there is enough room for a king sized bed. The way the bed is pushed to the slanted wall, also decreases the use of some of the bed. To avoid bumping our heads, we slept the opposite way. The bed was comfortable, just small. The upstairs is super cute but the stairs seemed a little steep and there isn’t a bathroom up there so sleeping up there was not even a consideration. I would recommend this cabin, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful little cabin getaway! Very clean, very quiet and private. Hot tub was very nice and clean. Exactly what we were looking for☺️ The hosts were very nice and helpful too!

This is the second year I've stayed with my dog at Kathryn's place on the order of 6 to 7 weeks. Similar to last year, I really enjoyed my stay at the rental and it served my needs very well again this year. The neighborhood is quiet, and it is nice to walk my dog on leash along the road for about a quarter mile without many houses and without much traffic. Kathryn is always communicative and checked in with me a couple of times to see if there was anything I needed. Again, I had an excellent experience staying at the rental!

The lodge was very nice and had a great spot outside to cook and hangout with friends and family. Plenty of room to sleep and plenty of seating inside of the lodge. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I would definitely go back. The response time and customer service was incredible.

The house was so nice. Bed was very comfortable . Was easy to find in daytime but a little hard the first night. Debora has a well stocked house and we felt right at home. The only complaint was internet was so spotty and it kept getting disconnected so there were days with no tv. So we just played music on our phones.

What a beautiful, tranquil place - a sanctuary as the name says! Our kids (9 and 3) loved walking and playing in the creek. We loved the screen porch and had all our meals and lounging time there. Panoramic beautiful scenery from the living room, the screened porch, and upstairs. Cabin was cozy and clean. Beds and furniture were very comfy. They also had some toys and a fun puzzle for the kids. Also have to note the great book selection - for the kiddos in the loft upstairs, and for nature loving adults on the shelves downstairs. We got a little mixed up finding the place at first (google maps address was off), but still were able to find it easily once going down the road based on the mailbox #s. We had a lovely spring weekend here, and look forward to returning!
