We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

A circular house is surrounded by vibrant greenery and tall trees, creating a serene environment. A gravel driveway leads to the entrance, framed by a gated entryway. The roof features a unique design, and the structure is partially enveloped in climbing vines.

Lovely, 1-bedroom, self contained unit, double glazed windows. Own courtyard in a sunny garden, the courtyard includes a private area for you to lockup 2 bikes. Close to Taupo lake and town. This unit is in the lower part of our home, which is a 2-storey building. Your access, courtyard and living areas are all completely separate from ours, with off street parking. Your privacy during your stay is our utmost consideration and therefore we take all steps necessary to leave you to relax.

Parking good, just a brief walk to lake, shops and restaurants. Apartment was very quiet and just lovely and relaxed to come back too. There was only one thing we had a problem with although not insurmountable was the fob entry into apartments with having only one and 5 people going off in diffirent directions each day we had to do some planning for entry into the complex, I think possibley there was an intercom system but we did not look into that as only 3 days stay and very busy time for us all. But would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at Pam’s house in Taupo. The house was the perfect setup for our family of 4 with plenty of space to holiday in comfort. The house was very modern, clean and spacious - very comfortable beds and equipped with everything you need to holiday away from home. Location was great - easy to get to and from town with just a short car trip away. From the house you can also spend time eating outside in the garden or walking down the steps to the river - great for children. Thank you for the warm welcome and having us stay. A place we will happily book again.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this place, it was beautifully modern, spotlessly clean, and in the perfect location right by the lakefront. Waking up to those views of Lake Tekapo in the morning was unreal! The space had everything we needed and more; stylish design, comfortable beds, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it really feel like a retreat. Communication with the host was easy and welcoming too. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Tekapo; we’d love to stay again!

We really enjoyed our family stay at Karen’s place, super clean and tidy, the house itself was excellent, new/modern with great tech, well designed. Location was awesome, quiet street, easy lake access. House had everything you needed and more, loved the espresso machine. Great communication and checkin/house instructions were detailed and easy. Beautiful home on a lovely, well cared for property with everything you need for a relaxing time away. Great layout caters easily for extended family. Would 100% stay again. Lisa was a wonderful host, attentive, responsive and kept us up to date with details as our trip came up and gave clear instructions on everything we needed. Plenty of off street parking which was incredibly helpful for us, immaculate property and grounds, spotlessly clean, stunning location and plenty of space for our family of 8 to spread out.
