On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-stocked South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

A well-equipped kitchen features a marble countertop with a dual sink and modern faucet. The cabinetry displays neatly arranged dishes and glassware. Light fills the space through a window, providing views of the outdoors.

This gem is at the epicenter of shops, restaurants and nightlife! Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
