The shady valley country store is a staple in the community and the region. If you have ever stopped here you owe yourself a nights stay here

There are only good words for this location. It’s an excellent place to stay short term or long term. Both hosts were super responsive when I had a question. You won’t be sorry staying with Sarah!!! Thanks for an enjoyable stay and I hope to see you guys again in the future.

Sonja's airbnb was an absolute delite to stay at. It was located so close to the casino we were able to walk over. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed in while staying at airbnbs. Definitely will be coming back.

Loved it! It’s nestled about 15 minutes away from downtown. Good size for the price. The only odd thing was there was cookware but nothing to cook on. Will stay here again if we visit again.

Just returned from a long weekend staying at this Air BnB. Overall, it is in a wonderful and charming neighborhood within walking distance from downtown JC. Perfect spot to get away and unplug. We enjoyed the coffee at Fearless and OMG the food at Lazy Lady Bakes bakery (downtown) is also tremendous. This location is perfect just for that establishment alone. Do yourself a favor and book this Air BnB!

Although the stairway to the apartment made me feel a little uneasy - they are safe. The place was clean and as described. Just remember- there is no TV. I took my own since WiFi is offered and could stream.

Great location, very clean and had all the extras like a sound machine and air purifier. Only thing was the internet wasn’t strong enough to load anything on the tv but that would not keep me from booking the same place again next year for my trip

I was in Johnson City for a college softball tournament at ETSU. The apartment was very close to the field and convenient. The amenities that the apartment had were perfect for what I needed especially the kitchen. There were pot and pans to cook, even a crock pot!!! I made dinner in the crockpot before we headed to the field and after games came back to reheat dinner! It was perfect! The bed was very comfortable. Overall the apartment was perfect for us. I felt at home! Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your home with us!

5 stars, accurate to description and photos! Great for work trip or weekend stay. Quiet neighborhood, historical downtown district is about 10 min away. If adjacent apartment noises bother you, bring earplugs. The water heaters, washer dryers, and snoring neighbors are moderately noticeable. I just turned on the bathroom fan to try to tune it out. Enjoyed the stay, Abingdon is beautiful.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Grace’s “Little Blue House,” as my three and five year old lovingly referred to it. They did not want to leave when it was time because they found the apartment so charming. From the moment you step inside you feel at home because of the touches Grace has thoughtfully added, from the fresh smelling scents in the air (smelled clean, not in an overpowering way—a good way), to the eclectic artwork and comfy furniture. The bathroom was amazing, especially the big bath tub—just what two tired kids needed after a long day of hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park. I can’t recommend a stay at Grace’s place enough. If you visit with your kids, the playground across the street behind her apartment is great for getting kid energy out! Downtown is right behind you—just a short walk to delicious pizza and other tasty restaurants in Abingdon :).

The place was perfectly located within 20 minutes of every hike and show you can imagine and only an hour away from Mount Rogers after a 15 mile hike to come home and do my laundry and yeah, it was just great great place a lot of privacy. Would definitely come back.

Excellent accommodation for Bristol! Close to everything we planned to do - Hard Rock Casino, Bristol Caverns, Nicewonder Vineyards, Historic Downtown. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay and very secluded.

Comfortable, beautiful place with a friendly host. Everything was clean and the view is gorgeous. Lots to do! This was our 2nd time staying and we plan to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Amazing hosts and the location and views are perfect! The Virginia Creeper trail is just past the end of a (fairly long) driveway, and then head into Abingdon or shorter to Damascus. You can bike or walk to Damascus Brewery, groceries at Food City. Emaculate unit! Beautiful flowers and landscaping. Dogs seemingly encouraged, and 4 separate outdoor patio areas with a fire table, fire pit, hottub, and a game room with air hockey, darts,ping pong, movie library, so fun. And the views are spectacular.

Wonderful communication! The property was better than described and in a wonderful part of town!

This has been one of my favorite airbnbs. We were seeing a show at the Hard Rock Casino and it was close and convenient and had so much to do. The place was very clean and tidy and every area was well designed. We loved it and intend to go back.
