In the immediate vicinity is an Icelandic horse farm and the restaurant Bergcafé Friedrichstein. Within walking distance you can reach the glider airfield (one of the oldest glider areas in Germany), the Wichtelkirche and the Helfensteine. The area is very popular for its hiking trails (e.g. Habichtswaldsteig) and its juniper vegetation along the lime grasslands.

Welcome to our new Chalet Habichtswald, located at the foot of the Hoher Dörnberg in the Habichtswald Nature Park. Our small wooden house is located in a very nice hillside location right next to a riding stable for Icelandic horses. The property offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the gliding airfield on the Dörnberg on all sides. The Friedrichstein hiking parking lot is in the immediate vicinity and offers access to various premium hiking trails.

The bathroom has a shower, toilet and a separate urinal. From the cozy couch you can watch Netflix/Amazon Prime on the 55-inch TV, or watch movies from the collection via the projector, or play on the PS3. In addition to a foosball table, various board games are available.
