Family-friendly vacation rentals in Zevenhuizen

Marieke and Den have created a surreal, warmly welcoming paradise. The place is even more beautiful than in the photos - spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and full of mindful, aesthetic details. The beauty lies not only in the decor but also in the little things: the carefully curated books, the wide variety of teas, and the fresh garden herbs available for use. We had contact with both Marieke and Den, and they radiate genuine kindness - while still giving you all the privacy you need. It’s a haven of peace, nature, and presence - the perfect place to find rest and reconnect with yourself. A true place of Zen.

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit den Fahrrädern konnte man die nahe gelegene Metrostation gut erreichen und wir haben eine gute Zeit in Amsterdam gehabt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft für Amsterdam Aufenthalte sehr empfehlen.

Plenty of room, quiet neighborhood. The M5 bus made our commute to Train then Amsterdam easier. (Approx 1 hour). Loved the 2 free bikes available for us to use. The sauna was a lovely bonus to use at night to relax. Moniek’s was resourceful and actively answering our questions. Alot of gadget in the house, no cable on TV so it was hard for my elderly parents to figure out how to use an intelligent tv with Netflix and all but we managed differently. Area was really nice close to the house but Almere centrum gets a bit suspicious at night so be aware to not be a women alone at night coming back -even locals fidy not recommended.

Ich und meine Freudin hatte einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Haus von Mijke. Der Hot Pool und die Sauna waren sehr schön und einfach aufzuwärmen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und passend beschrieben. Wir können Sie nur weiter empfehlen.

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

This is our second stay and we loved it even more than the first. Ella constantly goes above and beyond to make things just so we notice lots of little details including soap that was toddler friendly, fresh flowers, and some little welcome treats all waiting for us … but the most amazing treat was a little pull along toy that was age-appropriate for our toddler Very flexible and accommodating with checking in and check out and we are most grateful for that extra flexibility and kind We couldn’t recommend Ella or her home more highly we will be back again

I’m emotional about leaving this absolute treasure of a rental- wish we could stay forever. We booked Darley’s on the recommendation of well-traveled local friends who literally *moved* to Hilversum after staying here and told us it was the best Airbnb of all time. (These friends also know that I’m finicky about vacation rentals and generally prefer hotels.) I’m SO glad we listened to them. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful, well-appointed, lavish, thoughtfully stocked, gorgeously furnished, comfortable Airbnb ever, and now I’m probably ruined for all others. It could have been half as incredible for twice the price - we’d still be delighted. I’ve never felt more at home while traveling. We had all the privacy, comfort, provisions, fresh flowers and fruit, random fun perks, great water pressure, immaculate cleanliness, inspiring corners, luxurious linens, and other copious supplies we didn’t know we needed. Thank you, Marielise, for the Airbnb experience of a lifetime. WOW.

Wir waren 4 Nächte bei Martin und haben uns mehr als wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist total schön eingerichtet und die Dachterrasse wunderschön. Die Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alleine die Bademäntel in die wir uns Abends kuscheln konnten waren super. Wir haben uns sofort in die beiden Katzen verliebt die sich frei im Haus bewegen können durch Katzenklappen an den Türen. Martin ist super freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung hat eine super Lage von der man alles gut erreichen kann. Martin war so freundlich, dass er uns aufgrund des schlechten Wetters an unserem Abreisetag noch länger in der Wohnung gelassen hat was uns sehr gefreut hat. Man fühlt sich super wohl und ich kann die Wohnung und Martin als Vermieter nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Ugoszczenie przez Panią Trienie było jak ze snu. Bardzo miło nas przywitała, oprowadziła po domku i zaproponowała różne atrakcje. Jesteśmy bardzo wdzięczni za taką gościnność i życzliwość. Okolica jest piękna - pełno zieleni, wiejskie zwierzęta tylko uzupełniały ten cudowny krajobraz. Domek - bardzo przytulny i czysty. Miejsce miało dla nas wszystko czego potrzeba do codziennego funkcjonowania. Jesteśmy oczarowani wszystkim co zobaczyliśmy w okolicy i na pewno wrócimy na, mam nadzieję dłuższy pobyt. Dziękujemy!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit! man sieht wie viel liebe in die Unterkunft und das Grundstück gesteckt wurde! Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen! die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig aber trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit im Supermarkt, in einem Restaurant oder an Strand. es gab ein Reisebett, Hochstuhl und Spielsachen für unser Kind ohne das wir darum gebeten hatten. darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren jahrelang auf einem Hausboot in Amsterdam, das der Eigentümer mittlerweile aber selbst bewohnt und nicht mehr vermietet. Also haben wir uns nach einer Alternative in der "kleineren Schwester" Utrecht umgesehen und sind bei Pauline und Raymond gelandet. Das Boot liegt in einem Vorort von Utrecht, ist aber mit dem Bus gut zu erreichen (fährt alle 15 min) und liegt sehr schön in der Natur. Wir waren zu viert und hatten viel Platz, konnten sowohl unter als auch auf Deck gut sitzen, das Badezimmer ist für ein Hausboot geradezu riesig, die Betten super, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Der einzige Wehmutstropfen war für uns, dass wir in Nieuwegein kein vernünftiges Café oder Restaurant gefunden haben, aber schließlich wollten wir ja Utrecht erkunden, und dafür ist die Lage gut. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir wohl bald mal wieder hinfahren werden. Vielen Dank an Pauline und Raymond!

Wow! What an amazing week at 't Vaerkenskot! A beautifully renovated and restored pig barn! You can see it was a labour of love for Lukkie and Lambertus. What an amazing job they have done. The property was set in the gorgeous Zeeland countryside in a small peaceful Hamlet called Dreischor. They welcomed us with open arms and we immediately felt at home. Our dog Betsy normally takes time to adjust, but she felt at home instantly, which is a good sign! We felt we had enough privacy, but with the option to bump into our lovely neighbours we would say hello and chat when we wanted. Lambertus and Lukkie gave us great recommendations in the area. The property had all the amenities and was well kept, clean and with the most beautiful gardens! Although it rained (a lot!) during our stay, we kept warm and happy reading and enjoying the peaceful rest. There’s lots of things in area. Beaches and walks, beautiful cafes. We would stay again!! We found the perfect spot to spend a few days in the Breukelen / Maarssen area. Able to live like a local by biking to shops and touring the area. Nicolette and Remko made our stay so pleasant and were very friendly to help with plans or a quick chat. The space inside was lovely and roomy. Lots of place to relax outside too. Great biking and boating in the area - follow their recommendations. Most welcoming hosts we have met. Thank you for everything.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt, die beiden wohnen direkt nebenan und haben uns persönlich empfangen. Auch unseren kleinen Hund hießen Sie mit einem Trinknapf für to go und Leckerlis herzlichst willkommen. Bei Fragen war Sie immer erreichbar. Parken konnten wir auf dem Grundstück was äußerst selten in Noordwijk aber absolut zu empfehlen ist. Wir werden aufjedenfall wieder kommen! 😇

Super Unterkunft und super Gastgeber . Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß sind haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war mit dem Boot erreichbar und wir konnten mit dem Boot einkaufen fahren. Es war ein echtes Abenteuer. Der Unterkunft sowie der Pool war sauber. Hat alles gepasst für uns ☀️

Sehr schöne ruhige und private Unterkunft mit schönen Sitzgelegenheiten in und außerhalb der Wohnung. Tolles Badezimmer und 2 Parkplätze vor dem Haus.

Het huisje is op een kleinschalig groen park, waar je goed terecht kan met je hond. Sterker nog het was het Pinksterweekend en ik heb nog nooit zoveel honden gezien. Allemaal keurig aan de lijn en alleen maar vriendelijke honden. Met een paar minuten lopen zit je in het bos, waar - op sommige plekken - de hond ook van de lijn afmag. Er is ook een gemeenschappelijk zwembad waar je gebruik van kan maken. Het huisje is comfortabel, het bed ligt goed en ook op een fijn plekje waar je geen inkijk hebt. Communicatie met de gastvrouw, Jacq , is perfect. Ze reageert meteen op welke vraag dan ook. Dank voor de fijne dagen.

Magdalena hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert. Obwohl wir kein Frühstück gebucht haben, hat sie uns Brot und andere Leckereien bereitgestellt. Die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung, die Lage ist wunderschön. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Très bon séjour dans ce chalet effectivement "compact" mais très bien agencé.

Wij (vriendengroep) waren voor de 3e keer op the cottage. Het is een heerlijk, gezellig heel compleet huis. Het ontbreekt je aan niets. Gewoon doen!

Wir waren zu sechst im Familienurlaub mit zwei Kids und Oma und Opa. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Karins Haus. Es ist perfekt ausgestattet, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Park bietet viele Aktivitäten, allerdings nicht alles so beschrieben wie auf der Homepage (z.B. Elektroautos für Kids sind nicht in Betrieb). Wir waren im Mai in der Nebensaison und es war schon recht viel Betrieb im Park. Wer Ruhe und Einsamkeit sucht, ist hier fehl am Platz. Für uns mit den Kids war es perfekt. Der Strand ist traumhaft. Wir würden gern wiederkommen!
