Beachfront vacation rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

After 2 weeks of volunteering, this accommodation was great to come down and relax. The location was really great and Barbara was always on hand to help with recommendations, a bajaji etc. needed. It was a great end to our time in Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

2 weeks in this house was really peaceful and nice. The general manager Mudy and also Anna were very proactive. The house is situated in a very quiet environment and we could walk 15 minutes to Kendwa beach. Otherwise we took moto taxis. I really recommand this place

Hashim’s place in Fumba Town is a true sanctuary. Clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for rest, reflection, or remote work. Fumba itself is calm, secure, and beautifully laid out — ideal if you want a break from the tourist buzz. What really sets this stay apart is Hashim himself: kind, respectful, and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. He genuinely wants you to feel at home, and it shows. Whether you’re creating, healing, or just needing a safe, quiet space — this is it. I left feeling more grounded and clear than when I arrived. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Fantastic location on the ocean, with fabulous views from all terraces and especially from the upper outside deck. Great open plan living space with views and spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms . The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and discreet, always there to greet and assist. The property and gardens are really well designed and have a great flow. Superb walks to the reefs at low tide. The remote location provides great privacy and relaxation, highly recommended. We will be back!

This place is outstanding for a unique setting with lots of privacy in nature. As would be expected for such a remote setting, accessibility can be challenging. You need to follow numerous turns on unmarked small, paths. Using their provided guide from the ferry or airstrip is advisable. It is truly off road for a few kms, tight for a car and slippery and messy in rainy season for a motorcycle. If you can work with the accessibility challenge, we highly recommend the place.

The place is as described and shown in the pictures. The beautiful white beach is a few seconds walk. The caretakers of the house including the chef and the guard were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

nice place, very cozy. but lots of electricity issues however the hosts were very helpful with generators. lots of annoying salesman waiting outside the property following us around all day which wasnt fun

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Masai Mara! The villa looks exactly like the photos—if not better in real life. The location is unbeatable, right on a stunning beach with breathtaking sea views. One of the standout aspects is the dedicated staff, all included with the stay. They were incredibly attentive, always ready to help with a cheerful "yes" to any request. This level of hospitality truly made a difference. The host was also exceptionally responsive, accommodating every request quickly and efficiently. The property could use a bit of maintenance, but it’s nothing that detracted from the overall experience. The villa and its location are simply amazing, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended!

We arrived and immediately felt at home at Corol's. Everything was as described. We were warmly welcomed with a fruit basket from Corol and her staff. The staff was very helpful when it came to questions. Carol can be imagined as a big or little sister, best friend and loving mother. The all-round feel-good package. If you don't feel comfortable at Corol, you should take a vacation on another planet. Everything is equipped with a lot of love. Thanks Carol for the unforgettable moments in Zanzibar. We will be happy to come back.

Fantastic location as a base for exploring the area. Perfect for our family group with every bedroom having an ensuite and several communal areas to relax. We really appreciated the fenced pool for safety with toddlers.

Aiasha and Kiki’s place was situated in the most beautiful location! Literally right on the white sandy beach — perfect for swimming in the ocean and breathtaking view of a picture perfect beach. The pool was lovely and our kids could have lived in it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would come again!!

What an amazing property in a wonderful location. It must be the most beautifully restored house in Stonetown. Sitting on the roof terrace watching the sun go down and observing the life around the waterfront doesn’t get any better. It was very comfortable, well equipped and nice to have the support of the housekeeper and watchman. It was steps away from the stone town and its maze of narrow lanes, shops, restaurants and bars. This really is a unique property.

Ernst is a very good gatsgeber . He responds immediately and always helps. Everything is very well organized. He has arranged the help on site very well. There is always a contact person there. Maybe think about an emergency power unit......The house is located directly on the beach , just a few steps to the sea. Absolutely quiet location. Thank you very much for the nice time there.

Mohammed and staff were very accommodating during our stay. If you are looking for a location that’s centrally located because you want to explore the island then this is great. It’s also easy access to stone town without being directly in stone town. Villa was as advertised and the daily Swahili breakfast was an unexpected nice surprise. I’d go back.

Micaela’s house is beautiful facing a stunning beach. Chinga welcomed us and let us in earlier than expected, which was a huge relief. He was incredibly responsive and helpful - always popped round when we needed him. Asante Chinga! Halima cooked us a lovely breakfast. We also had a great massage. We enjoyed the Yoga Bar, Imani Beach Hotel breakfast and a couple of good dinners at Zan View. The house is stylish, the sand garden delightful and through the tiny gate you are already on the beautiful beach. Definitely recommend!

Excellent structure with a very friendly staff and always available. The place is very quiet and enchanting nothing to do with the chaos of Nungwi. Included is cleaning for every day. The house is equipped with everything we needed. If you're looking for a less touristy place, this is for you! We hope this area is always preserved like this!

Great stay in great Airbnb! Great value for money

Zamda and Ovi took very good care of us and made our stay a once in a lifetime. The place is simple, but very functional and has an authentic, yet beautiful touch. The beach is very nice with some restaurants and bars in walkable distance. However Jambiani is a small, quiet village and for party life you need to ride for 10 minutes to Paje where all the action is. If you are looking for authentic, beautiful and real, this is the right place. If you need it to be quiet at night, this one could be a challenge, since the local kids play near the house until late at night. We loved that authenticity very much.
