Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Yoichi District

This wonderful little home is located in a delightful part of town. A few minutes of walking down the canal are cute shops for souvenirs and food. Just next door is a bar with an incredibly friendly patron and around the corner is some of the best specialty roast drip coffee. The house itself is very clean, tidy and with ample room for our five person group. The hosts accommodated our needs and even reached out to when we forgot something when we left. We highly recommend this stay location.

We stayed twenty days in this lovely blue house in January to enjoy winter. The location is 40 min from Kiroro resort and 1 h from Niseko so it made a great base camp for snowboarding. Otaru is an interesting city with fun neighborhoods to visit and enjoy. The neighborhood of the house is calm and neighbors are really helpful with removing the snow every morning so we could get the car out. It took us a few days to get used to setting up the right temperature in the house as it is poorly isolated but with all the gas stoves and ACs we made it work. It stays very cold in the entrance and toilets but again we got used to it. Having the bathroom in the kitchen was not very convenient but it is arranged so we can make it work. Overall a fun and original experience.

I stayed to go to Kiroro Ski Resort. It was fun.

I stayed for 4 nights in total. The location of the villa is very good. The room is very nice. There is also a very friendly landlord. The information is replied in a timely manner, communication is smooth, and check-in is convenient. The first floor is the open living room and dining room, which makes the living very comfortable. The washing machine has a full drying function. You can wear it directly when you take your clothes out. LeTAO can also be heard at the exact bell of LeTAO every morning, as well as the sound of the whistle music from the Otaru Yardo box. The cafes arranged for breakfast were great, the host couple were very welcoming, the fish roasted for breakfast for three days were different, and the host explained the instructions one by one. Close to Sakaimacho to the store street, shopping and dining are particularly convenient, the era house nearby is managed by an old grandmother, and the meal is very good value for money. The only thing that is a bit unfortunate is that the bedroom on the second floor does not have air, the temperature in Otaru is relatively high for two days, and the bedroom is a bit hot.

It takes about 8-10 minutes on foot from Minami Otaru Station. It is located in a residential area, so it is quiet and the scenery of Japan's elegant village is peaceful. It is not very close to Otaru tourist area and train station, but it is not difficult to walk. There were three people staying, and it was so spacious and comfortable. It can accommodate up to 10 people, but 6-7 people seem to be the most pleasant. I think I was too good at staying in Otaru, which is more leisurely than the hustle and bustle of Sapporo. It is well-equipped with necessary towels, dryers, etc. The bathroom is clean and comfortable to use.

First day of Golden Week. Stroll through Maruyama Park, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and shop for ingredients at Aeon Mall Yonashiro. In addition to fresh seafood, meat, and vegetables, there is a Nikka whiskey corner and a wine corner with an overwhelming selection of local wines. After shopping, check in at a house overlooking Cape Shiripa. When I arrived, the smiling owner welcomed me and kindly guided me inside. Tea and refreshments were prepared on the table along with a welcome message, which warmed my heart. Beautiful kitchen with lots of dishes, spacious living and dining room, and bedroom with antique interior. The bathroom was stocked with bath salts and plenty of amenities, and the decorations, such as small items, were pleasing to the eye. There is a barbecue corner with a view of the sea behind the house, and a fire pit is also available, so we had a relaxing time with family and friends with an early dinner. The next day, we went to the Fisheries Museum, which houses many valuable exhibits, just a 3-minute drive away. You can get a glimpse of the history of Yufu, such as exhibits on the history of apples in the Jomon period and herring fishing. It is also a 15-minute drive to Nogi Mushroom Kingdom, and you can get snacks and groceries in a short time I felt that the access was very good, about 3-5 minutes by car to the city. I didn't use it this time because BBQ was the main reason for my trip, but I think the many delicious restaurants in the neighborhood are also one of the charms of Yurigahara. On the last day, we walked to Sokodan and enjoyed the view of Sokodan Blue from Cape Godo before heading home. We'd love to stay again when the cherry and grape picking season comes.

We enjoyed our stay at Yuki’s place in Otaru. It was very comfortable for our family of four. We appreciated being able to park at the property ahead of check-in. Lots to do and eat within walking distance.

Loved Yamusa’s place. Spacious, comfortable and clean for a group of 5. It’s very close to the main shopping street of Otaru. The only downside is there’s a short steep slope that is tough on elderly. Otherwise all was perfect

Staying May 3-4, 2025. The host was very kind and easy to contact. The view from the veranda was very good, and the facility was clean, so my parents and I were satisfied. The location was a little bit far from Otaru Station, but in my case, I went by rental car, so I didn't have any problems, and it was very helpful to have free parking. It was a pleasure to have a good time.Thank you! I want to stay again when I come to Otaru!

It's a clean and modern house. The bed was big in a room with two beds, so it was okay except for the part where there was no space for luggage. The bed was also comfortable. However, the room was a little cold. It's a great value.

This was our first time visiting Otaru, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the train station and an easy stroll to the main streets of Otaru. Every morning, we could hear the sound of the steam clock and music in the distance, which made the atmosphere feel so peaceful and beautiful. It’s also very close to convenience stores and everything else we needed. We really loved our stay here and would definitely come back!

we had a pleasant time staying here! it's close to the station, konbini, and tourist spots in otaru like otaru music box museum, otaru canal, letao, and many more! they are all walkable from the apartment. the place is quite spacious for the 7 of us. it's also very clean. would love to stay here again next time we go to otaru!

Great place to stay. Very clean and plenty of room for my family of 6

I let them both use it. It is one stop to Otaru Station, and the main branch of Rutao and the Music Box Museum are within walking distance, so I think it is easy to sightsee. There is a Seicomart on the way from the station, which is convenient. The room was tidy and clean, but the lighting in the room seemed dark. The amenities are perfectly stocked, and I think it is very convenient to have a microwave, toaster, and even a coffee machine.

Near Minami Otaru Station, everything matches the description. But one thing I didn’t know—the room door is more like a partition, not a real door.

The city and accessibility were good, and I was thankful for using it conveniently.
