Cozy family cottage in scenic surroundings. Walking distance to Lake Sommen with swimming areas and marina. Here is also lovely walking paths. Nearby there is a football field and volleyball court. Right next to the cabin there are both sheep and coke gardens and a large land land lot with space for activity. There is a possibility to rent a boat and fish. In the autumn there are nice mushroom fields in the neighborhood. During winter, there's usually access to a kid-friendly slalom slope as well as cross-country trails. It's about 10 kilometers to the facility.

Possibility to borrow a boat. 25-30 minutes by car to Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's world and Bullerbyn. 35 minutes to Eksjö wooden city, about 12 km to Mariannelund. (nearest grocery store) Emils Katthult about 6 km. Among other things, two national parks, (Kvill and Skurugata), nearby with nice walking paths. Flea markets. Lovely nature outside the house for forest excursions or swimming and fishing.

If you find our cozy farmhouse, located between Kisa and Österbymo in Östergötland. If you like peace and quiet and also appreciate being close to forest, nature and lakes, then this accommodation is something for you. Experience the birdsong, hike on the adjacent hiking trail or just walk straight out in the forest and pick berries and mushrooms, the choice is yours. The house is high, so you can see the sun from morning till night. About 300 meters from the house there is a basin, where you can swim, fish or just row with the rowing boat.

Hiking trails close to the cabin. Possibility of nice fishing in beautiful Ödesjön, where you walk in 10 minutes. There are plenty of pike and perch. It is also possible to rent a rowing boat. Free access to trampoline, swing set and toys. As a guest, you bring your own bed linen and towels. Possibility to charge the electric car

One bedroom with a luxury bed for two and one room with a very comfortable foldable bed sofa for two and a kitchen area. Wood stove sauna, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The host lives in a house about 50 meters further away from the beach. The kitchen is for simple cooking, the use of a frying pan is not allowed, but charcoal barbecue is available.

I stayed at Nils-Erik Guesthouse for two nights during a business visit. The area is nice, quiet and clean. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone.

A wooden deck features a rustic table surrounded by six chairs, complemented by vibrant flowerpots. The entrance to the building is framed by bright red walls, with a white door inviting guests. Sunlight enhances the welcoming outdoor space, surrounded by lush greenery.

Rural living in Småland

The space was great! Much larger than it appeared in the photos and really cozy. The three of us had more than enough space and there was everything you could ever need. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best in our time, so we could not use the outdoor area, but this was also really nice, even with a small sandbox and large meadow, for which various outdoor toys for all ages were available. There was also a toy box inside for our little son, who played with it extensively! The location is a bit off the beaten path, so you definitely need a car and larger excursion destinations are a bit further away. But it's super quiet and relaxing! We felt completely comfortable and would stay there again anytime.

An inviting sauna features warm wooden walls and benches. A circular window offers a serene view of the lakeside landscape, where trees line the shore. A modern stove stands next to the benches, providing warmth and comfort.

The house is very rural in nature with direct lake access. Possibility to ride the rowing boat 🚣 on the lake. Conny welcomed us nicely upon arrival and explained everything. If we had needed help - he lives just a few meters away in the house next door. The place was clean and nicely decorated with nice details. Kitchen was well equipped (oven, microwave, toaster, fridge with extra freezer, dishwasher). 2 separate bedrooms upstairs with beds that were wide enough and comfortable. In the dining and living area, you could also heat with a Swedish stove. It was very cozy and always warm enough. The best thing, however, was the sauna in the garden - we could heat it with a stove and after the sauna session directly into the lake. The only downside was the cramped shower in the bathroom. We felt very comfortable at Conny's and would be happy to come back. 🫶

Morgan and Lotta are very nice and helpful hosts. They were always responsive and always took care of our well-being. The apartment is perfect for 2 adults and children, but there is only one separate bedroom. The apartment is very nice and corresponds to the photos. The terrace and the view on the lake are magnificent. The lake is not perfect for swimming as it is a bit overgrown on the floor, but a small swimming spot has been created to cool off. Stand up paddling and kayaking were possible all over the lake. The location is very quiet and you should even be able to see moose nearby, unfortunately we did not succeed. To get to Eksjö you already need a car. The location is well suited for day trips (e.g. moose park, Vimmerby, Väternsee). When cycling, gravel roads are to be expected. We enjoyed it very much!!!

Anders is a very kind person and a great host. The communication was always easy and fast. The house is a gem! You can see and feel in every room that somebody is taking good care of it and thought about details. We stayed there with 3 adults and 3 kids (between 9 and 11) for 3 nights. Could have stayed longer. Thanks for having us, dear Anders!
