The Puerta Hotel is in an extraordinary setting and location for visiting the archaeological zone of Calakmul. The "cabins" are very comfortable with the feeling of sleeping outside while being inside. The food is unpretentious but excellent. The price is exaggerated because it was the only comfortable hotel in Calakmul but with the arrival of the Mayan train and its magnificent hotel/restaurant/pool/bar… of 144 rooms 20 km away in the archaeological zone, the competition has arrived.

Lovely place, very nice people and the cabin was very well equiped. It had great mattresses (not too soft) and plenty of space. Nice base to see Calakmul.

Great place to stay to visit Calakmul and Becan. Food in the area was better than I was expecting and the onsite restaurant was a nice bonus. Beautiful peaceful spot.

Excellent place to stay, my night was a previous night of going to Calakmul, which is between the closest thing to the ruins of Calakmul and in the morning they gave us a boxlunch 👍

Very nice place in the middle of nature, close to many ruins. There is AC, comfy beds, parking, and everything you need. Calakmul was closed, but we went to Becán and Hormiguero, which was even better!

Friendly welcome, quiet and pleasant accommodation for the night. A surprise basket offered for breakfast a big plus. Easy to access on the Chetumal-Merida axis, less than 30 minutes from the entrance of Calakmul, a pretty archaeological area to visit by crossing the road on foot.

Very good stay near the Calakmul site! The dishes served at the restaurant are of quality 😊 We visited Calakmul passing Ka'an Expeditions and everything was perfect! I highly recommend!
