Mark had a gorgeous property, perfectly appointed and pristine. He was a superb host, very responsive and so helpful. The forested lot provides a peaceful and private location just a short hike to the Shenandoah River. The surrounding natural beauty and wildlife were the highlight of our stay. This house is very well located for enjoying Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, & Front Royal, VA. The northern most park entrance is a very short drive, & the town of Front Royal is also a short drive. The house was very comfortable for my family of eight adults and one grandchild plus dog. We convened there for a week for a family get together. You won’t be bored. Solomon has provided everything you could possibly want to have fun and relax, from the very nice outdoor hot tub, fire pit with chairs and the makings of s’mores, hammock, and corn hole game, to the downstairs game room with pool table, the extensive library, fireplaces and nice back porch with grill, table, chairs, & porch swing, etc.! The master bedroom is amazing, the downstairs bedroom is also very nice, both with en-suite bathrooms. The other two bedrooms are much smaller and share a bathroom although there is a half bath off the kitchen. It worked for us. We hated to see the week end! Would come back.

This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

We traveled with our 2 kids (2 and 4) and like others mentioned this listing has everything you could need! The listing even had step stools my 4 year old to reach the sink to wash her own hands. The hot tub was fantastic, extremely clean and comfortable. We visited Shenendoah National Park and it was a great home base. Definitely bring your groceries as it is a very secluded area and it’s a great space to cook grill, relax and reset ! Very comfortable, clean and organized!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, exactly as pictured, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. The host was very responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out.

House was as described and comfortable. It is a peaceful area and our dogs loved having lots of yard to play and run, and patrol for deer. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch rain and shine. It would have been nice to have a Keurig coffee machine but the kitchen is otherwise well equipped. Beds were all comfortable and house was clean. It was nice having a washer/dryer to use. The gas grill and hot tub were both a plus. Great place to visit when you want to bring the pups with you. Not a lot to do in the area but a visit to the Luray Caverns is worth it as well as a ride along Skyline Drive. For little ones, there is a playground behind the local elementary school as well as a nice one in Luray. Walmart, Food Lion, Dunkin, and other stores are conveniently located in Luray. Triple Crown BBQ was a hit for takeout and Chop House Bistro was excellent for dinner out. As is clearly noted in the home, ticks are plentiful so dogs should be checked regularly - we found a few on them daily.

I cannot say enough about how special The Wizards Chalet was for us on our honeymoon. My husband and I both love the outdoors so much and appreciate our privacy and this was the perfect place for us. Our absolute favorite part was spending time out on the back deck and cooking dinners together in the beautiful kitchen. In between our adventures, we found so much peace in the drives and scenery but honestly we honestly felt like we were home the entire time. Marianna was so friendly and responsive from the moment we booked and after we left, would 100% recommend her as a host and The Wizards Chalet for a getaway. Looking forward to returning in the future for more adventures!

Great place for a getaway with friends and family. Jonathan is very responsive, he provides a great handbook for everything of your stay! Will definitely consider to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed rainy mornings drinking coffee and movie nights on the screened porch! There are lots of thoughtful touches and a well equipped kitchen. Thanks for having us!

This is a lovely property, the porch and swing alone make it worth the stay! The beds were very comfortable and the place is cozy and styled beautifully

The "Sugar Shack" is a lovely place for a retreat. I picked it because there were enough bedrooms for a girlfriend retreat where everyone could have their own space, but I want to go back with my family and spend more time on the river which is just out the door! We loved spending time out on the porch eating meals, by the fire pit, and in the cozy living room watching movies. We also visited Seven Bends State Park (~20 min drive) for a nice hike. Hosts were very responsive and clear with instructions. Thank you Julie!

The location is supreme and the house is charming. The ride into town is easy and as to be expected quite beautiful. Perfect house to unplug, unwind, relax and enjoy family time or reconnecting as a couple.

We had a great stay! The cabin was situated in the woods, very peaceful and quiet! The house had such a cool, quirky vibe. The hot tub was definitely enjoyable, and the fire pit was a nice touch; we made yummy smores by the fire. Would definitely recommend the AVA cabin to friends and family! :)))

This wonderful spot was an amazingly beautiful and peaceful location to be our home base for our trip! It was quiet and lovely and was also close to everything we wanted to do. The house was roomy and we were thrilled with the kitchen amenities and the fun downstairs room. We can't wait to book another stay!

Serenity was beautiful! We had a great time enjoying the sound of the water whenever we opened a window. Walked around the property and really felt the peacefulness of the area. Would definitely come back.

The cutest little cabin. Perfect for a getaway/hiking trip to Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is exactly as described, had everything we needed, and it was SO clean. Hosts were very responsive when I asked for local recommendations. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Fantastic stay. The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and has many small details/extras. The space was clearly professionally designed. Spent lots of time at the fire pit and hot tub. Nice path leading down to the river. We will be back.

Jake & Kendra's place was a perfect fit for my wife, granddaughter and two fur kids. The place was clean and very comfortable. Beds are very comfortable which is huge because we are picky. We appreciated all of the extra amenities for the dogs even though we bring our own stuff. We don't have small children but thought it was great they had a highchair and child friendly dishes. Jake and Kendra are great host, super friendly and excellent communicators. Everything was perfect, so we didn't need to reach out this trip but they reached out to us multiple times just to make sure everything was ok. This is the second time we have stated at the Treetop Cabin and we will definitely return.

Absolutely stunning stay! The place was spotless, spacious, and the views were simply unbeatable. Communication with the hosts was smooth and friendly, and the value for what you get is exceptional. Check-in was seamless, the location was ideal, and the WiFi worked perfectly. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Oh my goodness! This area was amazing! My husband and I packed so much into 3 days! It is beautiful and has so many fun places to eat and visit. I highly recommend looking through Angie's book and going to the places she recommends. You won't regret it! Angie was helpful and responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
