Mark had a gorgeous property, perfectly appointed and pristine. He was a superb host, very responsive and so helpful. The forested lot provides a peaceful and private location just a short hike to the Shenandoah River. The surrounding natural beauty and wildlife were the highlight of our stay. We will definitely be back,

Annie’s place was just what we needed and hoped for! Quiet, peaceful, and recharging. Sitting in the sunroom with rays of sunshine coming in. Time spent in the hot tub listening to nature. It was perfect! Not to mention, Annie was a pleasure to work with as well. Very kind and personable. Would highly recommend Annie and her home!

Lea’s place was phenomenal, I highly recommend this stay and Lea as a host. Amenities were great, the place was clean, and if we’re back down that way, we’ll for sure be visiting again.

I surprised my beautiful gf with this trip! When we got there we were blown away at how private it was, the views were amazing and the place was so clean and cozy! I took her to the Shenandoah mountains and proposed to her at one of the sky line drive viewing centers! It was surreal and we will definitely come back In future as this is a forever memory for us!

We traveled with our 2 kids (2 and 4) and like others mentioned this listing has everything you could need! The listing even had step stools my 4 year old to reach the sink to wash her own hands. The hot tub was fantastic, extremely clean and comfortable. We visited Shenendoah National Park and it was a great home base. Definitely bring your groceries as it is a very secluded area and it’s a great space to cook grill, relax and reset ! Very comfortable, clean and organized!

Staying at Eugene’s place was greatI. The view was beautiful! The cabin was super clean and welcoming. We were also a short ride to town. Absolutely would look forward to staying at this place again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed rainy mornings drinking coffee and movie nights on the screened porch! There are lots of thoughtful touches and a well equipped kitchen. Thanks for having us!

House was as described and comfortable. It is a peaceful area and our dogs loved having lots of yard to play and run, and patrol for deer. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch rain and shine. It would have been nice to have a Keurig coffee machine but the kitchen is otherwise well equipped. Beds were all comfortable and house was clean. It was nice having a washer/dryer to use. The gas grill and hot tub were both a plus. Great place to visit when you want to bring the pups with you. Not a lot to do in the area but a visit to the Luray Caverns is worth it as well as a ride along Skyline Drive. For little ones, there is a playground behind the local elementary school as well as a nice one in Luray. Walmart, Food Lion, Dunkin, and other stores are conveniently located in Luray. Triple Crown BBQ was a hit for takeout and Chop House Bistro was excellent for dinner out. As is clearly noted in the home, ticks are plentiful so dogs should be checked regularly - we found a few on them daily.

The host was absolutely amazing, friendly, and ensured everything our stay. The cabin itself was a gem: peaceful, quiet, and nestled in the most serene location. It was impeccably clean, thoughtfully furnished, and had all the amenities i needed for a relaxing getaway. The surrounding nature added so much charm, whether it was enjoying coffee on the porch, stargazing at night, or just soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. This place truly felt like an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a cozy retreat!

We had a fantastic stay at Levi’s place. The creek is clean and beautiful, Levi is very friendly and helpful, the cabin was very clean and neat and laid out as expected from the pictures. The front porch is a nice size. I loved hearing the stream in the evening and we all enjoyed the cows and horses in the field. It was not a problem at all but because we booked through Airbnb and had not checked out his outfitting site, I was not aware that there were also camping sites and it is possible you have will have RV’s and/or tent campers around you. We have a pop up ourselves so I don’t have a problem with that, but I wasn’t expecting it. We stayed mid week in April so only a couple camping sites were in use and weren’t next to us but I am sure it fills certain times of the year. Also, it is creek side but if there are paying fishers in the creek you need to be respectful of their space. We had a great time at the pond and appreciated the use of kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board

We loved spending our Memorial Day weekend here!! The location was beautiful, very secluded and private, and the cabin was clean and cozy. The WiFi also worked super well despite the location. Mark was an amazing host! He communicated everything clearly so there was no confusion for our arrival or departure, and he provided us with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. We even left an item at the cabin, and Mark was so kind to take the time to mail it and get it back to us! We highly recommend this cabin for your stay in Lost City!

My friends and I had such a wonderful time at The Shack for my birthday! The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and we loved being able to cookout on the grill. We spent a lot of our time out by the bonfire and in the hot tub and also ventured out to enjoy the sunset at Muse vineyards. We would definitely book again here!!

My husband and I had a lovely stay. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and surrounding wildlife. The game room was a fun bonus to pass time together. Super comfortable bed as well. Denise is a fantastic host! Her and her husband went so far out of their way to assist us with our car trouble. Very kind and generous people who blessed us so much!

The Bear Lodge was a great location for myself and several friends to get away from the city and reconnect for a long weekend! It was comfortable, had large indoor entertaining and dining spaces for our group of seven, and was very close to a local lake for great outdoor fun (weather permitting)! The atmosphere of the lodge was very pleasant, and is perfect if you’re looking to connect to nature a bit, grill up a few dinners, and roast some marshmallows with friends and family. The owner, Aaron, was very proactive in communicating details about our booking, check-in and check-out processes, and answering any questions we had during our stay. One of the neighbors was also very kind and helped my group when we were staring a fire using the lodge’s fire pit. I would definitely return to Bear Lodge for a similar getaway trip to the Basye area in the future.

We had a great stay at this cabin in West Virginia. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. Absolutely loved our stay! The home was spotless, cozy, and full of hygge vibes—warm, welcoming, and perfect for unwinding. Jake & Kendra's place was a perfect fit for my wife, granddaughter and two fur kids. The place was clean and very comfortable. Beds are very comfortable which is huge because we are picky. We appreciated all of the extra amenities for the dogs even though we bring our own stuff. We don't have small children but thought it was great they had a highchair and child friendly dishes. Jake and Kendra are great host, super friendly and excellent communicators. Everything was perfect, so we didn't need to reach out this trip but they reached out to us multiple times just to make sure everything was ok. This is the second time we have stated at the Treetop Cabin and we will definitely return.

I can’t say enough great things about our weekend stay in Basye, VA! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin was spotlessly clean, modern, beautifully decorated. Jeff and Christie were incredibly thoughtful and communicative, making check-in a breeze and offering great local recommendations. The views were stunning—especially the morning view on the deck. We spent our days relaxing and enjoying the scenery and visiting Bryce Resort (just minutes away!) The peace and quiet of the area is unbeatable, and you can really feel a sense of calm and connection to nature. We left feeling very refreshed.
