This stay also includes its very own nature trail! Come ready to see lots of wildlife and explore Southern Illinois! Our 2 treehouses are secluded but do share the same property!

The tranquil sound of the water fountain sets the mood for Shady Rest. (removed during winter) Unwind in the therapeutic hot tub. (open all year long) Watch the 12 ft. windmill twirl as it catches the wind. Resident ducks will provide fun entertainment. End the day with a night fire around the fire pit. No matter what the season, Shady Rest “on blue pond” is sure to create an unforgettable experience. Property not suited for small children due to deep pond next to the Airbnb. No pets allowed

Of course there is full electricity, water, and sewer!

This space is great for a couple getaway or a girls retreat. Soak your cares away in the 100 year old vintage tub or enjoy the spacious outdoor shower. We are about 30 -40 minutes away from the Shawnee National Forest. You can go explore Garden of the God's or go toward Marion where you can enjoy shopping and dinner.
