Stone Country Cottage
Very private, quaint stone cottage in the Townland of Coomkeen, on the Sheep's Head Peninsula (the Wild Atlantic Way), Ireland's best hiking country. Two Miles to village of Durrus, five miles from town of Bantry. Cottage was originally built in 1845 by my great uncle. ceilings in kitchen are low, in order for fireplace to keep warm. There are odd heights in doors typical for the era., PLEASE BE ADVISED PERHAPS A CHALLENGE FOR VERY TALL VISITORS. Or you can take a walk back in time and enjoy.

The open-plan layout consists of a fully equipped kitchen and a double-height living/dining area. The bedroom has a King-size bed (200cmx150cm) and en-suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom is a spacious mezzanine with two single beds. This mezzanine overlooks the open-plan living room.

A tranquil space with incredible views over Glengarriff Harbour, taking in both Garnish and Whiddy Islands. Walk directly from the house over the hills or down to the water. Although only 10 minutes drive to bustling Glengarriff with its pubs and restaurants the house and grounds feel incredibly secluded. Visitors have said it is like entering another, magical world!
