Waterfront vacation rentals in West Virginia

This is, without a doubt, my favorite Airbnb. Everything is exactly as advertised and, having to stay here twice, I could tell you that it’s one of the better experiences at any overnight accommodation. I highly recommend it and I would go back again and again.

Overall great experience. Well stocked with essentials, even had a first aid kit that we needed bandaid!!! I appreciated the coffee being available as we forgot to check which type of coffee maker they had. The place was clean and easy to find and get in. While they talk about the noise from the coffee shop below, that wasn’t very bothersome. A minor detail we noticed a stain on one of the bedroom’s comforter.

Amy's place was an idyllic getaway and an excellent place to launch our exploration of the New River Gorge National Park. A perfect place to unplug and relax.

We had the most amazing time at our little yellow door Airbnb. Alison and Kevin were both very quick to respond, very helpful, and super friendly. I highly recommend you reserve this little hidden gem. Falling asleep to the river rushing by and the geese and their babies honking in the morning were an absolute joy to hear.

Ashley, Neil and Jane were responsive, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and well-cared for during our three weeks in their rental. The unit is in a beautiful and peaceful location along the Potomac River and was spotlessly clean and well appointed and supplied. As other reviewers have noted, the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again and highly recommend the unit to others.

Our stay at The Black Horse Farm was excellent! Everything was just as described and even better than the photos! Very peaceful setting and private as well. I have been traveling to the area since the early 80s and this was our first stay with Darrel and Cindy, but it won’t be our last!

We had a little problem! Not her fault! Had a storm and the electric went off. Sherry came right over with lights and was very helpful’ the kids enjoyed no electric for awhile and practiced chess! She has lots of games! We went for the Blue snd z gray Reunion! Great!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful riverfront home in Harpers Ferry! It was fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The screened-in porch was our go-to spot for relaxing, and the hot tub was a highlight after long days of exploring. We also had so much fun with all the games provided—it made our group nights unforgettable. The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a peaceful location that let us truly unwind. A huge thank you to Morgan, who was super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. She answered our messages quickly and gave us all the info we needed, making everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this place for a group getaway. We’re already planning our return trip!

Amy’s place was amazing!! Felt like right at home. Had a beautiful view and very peaceful. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone!! Will definitely be back to stay!!

Overall we had a wonderful time at Jennifer and Rodney’s place. It was exactly as described and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the time spent on the back porch and around the fire pit. Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative and we were not able to get out and enjoy the trails as much as we would have liked. Also we were 1 week too early and most attractions in the area were not operating during the week days. I was concerned about getting a good sleep on the mattress but managed to sleep through each night. I would recommend that anyone wanting to cook something without it sticking to the well worn pans bring along their own as the ones in the kitchen are well past their prime. Thank you Jennifer and Rodney for providing this great getaway spot.

We had a very relaxing weekend here, and enjoyed spending time on the deck, by the creek, and the screened-in porch. The property itself is quite private and our dog really enjoyed running around on the yard. The indoor living room/kitchen area was a little tight, but manageable for us. Thanks for a great stay!

We used to stay in a place not too far from here in PA. It slowly lost its charm, so we ventured out. So glad we did! Excellent hosts! The details they paid attention to did not go unnoticed. A wonderful welcome basket, immaculate home, and plenty of extras. We will be back!
