Family-friendly vacation rentals in West-Terschelling

We had a fantastic weekend at 't Holthus! An oasis of peace, surrounded by beautiful nature and with all the comfort you could wish for. The cottage was stylishly furnished, sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. The hot tub was of course a highlight. The warm welcome and personal touches of the owners made our stay extra special. Perfect for recharging for a while.

In 2016, I already spent a weekend with friends in the Coach House. I liked that, so just booked again. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sjoerd and Jeltsje. Fresh eggs, flowers and a welcome card on the table. The Carriage House is an oasis of peace just a few minutes from Dokkum. Behind the cottage you can enjoy the beautiful view from the wind in the spring sun. Also nice that we were free to take a look in the stables. In the evening we had a nice glass of wine in the hot tub. The downside was the extra cost; the hot tub was more expensive than listed on Airbnb and it was also not indicated that we had to pay extra for the towels (€15 for 5). Too bad, because we would have brought them ourselves. Nevertheless, it is and remains a great place to relax and enjoy.

The house is sensational. Very impressive high rooms, huge and very tastefully decorated. Everything you need is there. You can park right in front of the house. Just right for our family trip (10 people). We wanted a quiet house near the North Sea. Sandra and Nic are great hosts. We can all recommend the house.

Sam's place had everything we needed! Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms were comfortable. It's not far to walk to the beach from the house. Perfect for a weekend away!

Had a very nice stay. Clean house and all necessities were present, great! Furthermore, beautiful garden with nice trampoline and we enjoyed the hot tub, which is also wonderful with rain. All I would have liked to know in advance is that the garden is directly adjacent to the family's garden. This made it feel a little less private. Fortunately, he was very friendly, so that was fine. Furthermore, Hari was friendly and responsive, so that was nice too. Many thanks to Hari and the rest of the family!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. It really is a great location for a family vacation. All bedrooms are very spacious and have a private bathroom. Jan Gerben and Rinske are very warm and we felt at home immediately. We will definitely come back!

The apartment is ideally located – only 2 minutes walk to the city center and in 5 minutes you are already on the beach. The apartment was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay on Texel! The accommodation near Paal 17 was perfect for our vacation – quietly located, but still close to the beach and many beautiful excursion destinations. The apartment was very clean, equipped with everything necessary and lovingly furnished – you felt right at home. We would like to highlight the hostess Kim, she was always very friendly, helpful and uncomplicated. We are grateful to have been allowed to be there.

We will be back for sure - and we will tell our friends about this place. Groetjes !

A very cozy cottage with a huge nice, large fenced garden that you will certainly make yourself and your four-legged friend very happy with. Lots of privacy. The cottage is perfectly arranged and everything has been thought of … we can't think of anything that felt like it was missing. The two of us could manage just fine with the small shower. The 2 beautiful sinks in both bedrooms compensated for us the necessary lack of space. We greatly enjoyed it! And we are once again amazed by the beautiful nature! Very good communication with Martijn, somewhat older house, but well maintained, clean and well equipped. Plenty of space in the living room, kitchen and bathroom. Second bedroom a little small. Large outdoor area with terrace and lawn. Lots of greenery around, so you're undisturbed. When we were there, it was very quiet in the park. We liked it very much, we will be happy to come back.

The location of the house is excellent. 10 minutes, mostly through dunes and you are on a quiet beautiful beach. In front of the cottage a lawn with trampoline, carts, go-karts. Ideal for young children. Good farm shop with many organic products including delicious bread, good soup and lots of fruits and vegetables. Sympathetic owner of the cottage . Had a wonderful time.

Great place for anyone who loves horses and nature. Nice and quiet but you are still in the city quickly. In the evening we had a visit from 2 cats on the stairs who were very happy about petting units.. At night we accompanied the silence of the neighing and hoofbeats of the horses in the stable. We found it very nice The apartment was reasonably clean and well equipped. Only a large bowl for salad and a few deep plates were missing. We only saw Jan briefly on departure, but he was very friendly to us. All in all, a very successful and beautiful stay.

We loved our stay at Thomas's place. The caravan is spacious and equipped with every comfort. The terrace was also very complete in terms of furniture with both sun and shade. However, we were bothered by mosquitoes so we definitely recommend bringing a mosquito spray.

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

Nice, well maintained, cozy campground. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Good location, close to the beach.

We had a nice weekend in Renée's chalet! A nice place, with everything you need. And a pleasant starting point for all directions on the island. Our highlight was the bunny in the garden in the morning. See you next time!

The location is amazing. Right on the water, in the middle of a nature reserve the Weerribben. Really quiet. Entering the house you feel like you take a step down in time. The house is complete with washing machine, dryer, large fridge etc

We felt very comfortable in the chalet from the beginning and had a great vacation. The chalet is very appealing and well equipped, so we cooked a lot. The location at the campsite is very good. The communication with Marinus was very straightforward. We also liked very much that we could use the season ticket for the outdoor pool on the campsite and went swimming every morning. Ameland is a beautiful island. We really recommend the chalet.

Second time staying and we really enjoyed our stay with our small dog. We cannot travel abroad by plane with him so this is a great option to have holiday together. Nice quiet location just outside the village but still very close-by for supermarket and cafes. Easy access for a walk to the beach and to the dunes. Lots of rabbits jumping around. The swimming pool is an added bonus for the rainy days. We loved there, people are very friendly everywhere we go. Thank you for having us, we hope to return.
