Vacation rentals with a fire pit in West Rand District Municipality

This home is a beautiful city getaway. We had a weekend of sitting around a campfire and spending lovely sunny days in rock pools that are just down the road! The space is rustic, and there is limited electricity due to the space being entirely solar powered. Things to plan for because of this, is there is only a gas stove and oven for heating meals (no microwave). You can charge phones and there are of course lights! But all of this also adds to the feeling of being in nature and away from busy city life. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We had a lovely time at Sigrid's place. We did struggle a bit to find it (in the dark), and we were warned about arriving after dark, but still felt that there were some key turns where signage could've been helpful. Apart from that, it is a great place to stay, spacious, neat, clean, and private, in a beautiful natural setting. The fireplace outside is also great. We will go back whenever there is another opportunity.

This was our 2nd time we've used Leah&AJ's place, previously stayed in 2023. We stayed this time with family visiting from the UK and Sweden, staying twice across a two week period as part of a 60th birthday celebration and family reunion. Lean and AJ were perfect hosts as always, friendly, accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. Would definately recommend and we'll be staying again in the future. Thanks Leah & AJ

We had an unforgettable stay at this venue — I’d happily do it all over again. The value for money was outstanding, and Stacey, Melody and her team were absolutely wonderful: warm, welcoming, and always one step ahead of our needs. For that weekend, it felt like home — as if I was hosting from my own place. Welcoming such a large group never felt this effortless, and my guests were genuinely impressed. Many said it felt like they’d just stepped into a better, more joyful version of life. One small suggestion: it would be fantastic if the location pin led guests directly to the house, as some began wondering if they were lost on the long drive from the gate and they would drive back. Adding a note in the directions about the board or sign at the gate would also help make arrivals smoother.

What a lovely stay! Thank you so much to Patty that was there to greet us on arrival and was super helpful. We had lots of fun as a family playing games of pool (very badly) and chilling out in the beautiful garden. Watching the lightning storms roll in from the balcony was also pretty special! Tree Living is absolutely gorgeous. From the amazing design to the cleanliness. You can tell a lot of work went into designing the place, everything is so well-thought out and intentional. They really paid attention to every detail. Mary is such a wonderful host, so friendly and kind. The whole property is just so beautiful and well-kept. Just a breath of fresh air. We had the perfect stay. Will definitely come back again and again.

We had a fantastic stay at this Lembah Kali over the weekend! Maureen and Henri gave us a warm welcome, which made us feel right at home from the start. It was such a pleasure meeting Jen—she shared some of the history of the place, which made the experience even more special. Jen was incredibly helpful and just wonderful all around. The property had everything we needed—well-stocked and thoughtfully set up—so all we had to bring were our personal items and food. The atmosphere was amazing, peaceful, and welcoming, and the place itself is just beautiful. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for getaway. Our stay at Shan's farm was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we booked, Shan was incredibly responsive and kind, making us feel welcomed and valued as guests. The farm itself offered a unique and serene getaway, allowing us to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature. Everything about our visit was satisfactory, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful for the hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat.

If you want to sit back, relax and recharge your batteries - this is the right place. Such a cute, stylish and well thought out place. This place is such great value for the pure peace of the place. It’s a stylish functional space which feels comfortable and homely. The host is Great and his hospitality is impeccable. The overall highlight of my stay was the world-class white glove service and professionalism of the host .

Oh wow. What an amazing stay we had at lekker plekkie. Nell was an amazing host, welcomed us so warmly and made sure to look after for the entire stay, even prepared an amazing dessert for us :) The place was so tranquil and pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely had a wonderful stay at the lekker plekkie.

Leanne was the perfect hostess and the accommodation is everything we wanted. I particularly appreciated the luxury linen on the bed and all the little touches. Our stay was just very brief but we will definitely recommend and stay there again.

This place is so peaceful, if you are looking for a serene place to relax, out of the city and connect with nature this is the place to be. Anita is such an impeccable host, she constantly checks up on you and is big on communication . The unit has all the necessities you might need during your stay and it's one of the most beautiful in the premises situated close to the flowing river. I will definitely be coming back, we enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent receiption, well powered house with gas and solar system. Entertainment in form of swimming, Chess and Golf Very safe environment to stay.

Great stay, communication with Didi was amazing, he was available anytime of the day, he welcomed us very warmly. The place in itself is beautiful, with the nature estate have plenty of activities from tennis, put put, chess, hiking and even swimming in one of 3 pools in the estate. Equipment for the activities were provided by the host so we didn’t need anything further. overall great stay would highly recommend for a couple gateway.

Really beautiful place and friendly staff. Very peaceful location

Very nice accommodation in a peaceful location, close to the river! Kitchen quite well equipped for cooking and a braai area just in front. The Utopia facilities - around a 15 minute walk from the accommodation (or you can easily drive there and park) - including two large pools and putt putt are also very nice. Worth noting that the two bedrooms upstairs are separated only by a curtain (no door) which wasn’t a problem for us (a couple) however might be an issue if you are with a larger family/group. Also might not be the best choice if you are scared of snakes! We encountered a spitting cobra just in front of the chalet, next to our parked car, which moved into the bush once it saw us.
