Monthly Rentals in West Newton

Beautiful, peaceful getaway in a magical forest setting! The house was clean, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. We spent a week exploring the local area and loved coming back to the house each evening to relax. The porch overlooking the woods & adorable gardens was the best place to sit & soak in the sounds of waterfalls and birds. We loved walking the grounds & checking out the picnic areas. At night, the solar lights make a fairyland :) The driveway is described accurately in the listing. We had a small 2-wheel drive SUV & had no problem getting up to the house, even after several days of heavy rain. The stream was flowing pretty high & we were able to cross it (a sedan might struggle on a very rainy day). We watched dvds every night (we're dvd people)! There was enough phone signal to make calls & access the internet. Scott always answered texts promptly. Scott's place was perfect for visiting the GAP towns, Pittsburgh, & surrounding areas. We hope to return!

This was our first visit since the change in ownership. There have been some very nice improvements made! We’ve always loved staying at the Plumer House but it’s only gotten better! This is a great place for a Bike groups. The location is perfect and it’s wonderful having such space that we can relax together in the evening. We love the fire pit overlooking the river, the big table to share meals at and the space to just relax. Plus, the beds are very comfortable.
