Bear's Cabin is a special space located on Sheba's Island, a peninsula overlooking the historic Sandbanks on West Lake. Originally built in the 60's, we renovated it inside out to create a modern cabin to share with guests visiting this beautiful place that is Prince Edward County. This is a lakefront property next to a larger house where your host lives all seasons. We are in the waiting line for our STA license - in the meantime we are taking reservations for the 2023 summer season.

Richard’s place is fantastic! Cute, cosy and very comfortable. We loved having a bathroom on each floor. The pictures are exactly like the property. We really liked the location and the grounds. It’s right by Sandbanks Provincial Park and the cute town of Bloomfield. The house is filled with lots of thoughtful touches including a sandbanks park pass (HUGE thank you). The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. Richard was very responsive when we had a query. We would absolutely stay again.

A spacious outdoor deck features a seating arrangement with woven furniture and a glass-top coffee table. Lush greenery surrounds the area, and a scenic view of Lake on the Mountain is visible in the background under a clear blue sky.

My friends and I stayed here for a couple nights, it was very clean and such cute decor. The area was so peaceful and quiet. A little further from the water than anticipated but overall wonderful stay and would definitely recommend for a restful getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property! There are kayaks, bikes, and equipment for the kids too, which was a pleasant surprise. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described—perfect for a peaceful getaway. We especially loved the serene setting and the easy access to nature. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful throughout. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! It’s the perfect getaway—cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The highlight for us has to be the sunsets. We've traveled to many places, but nothing compares to the breathtaking sunsets here. The view is simply magical, with the sky painted in the most vibrant hues. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the porch has become our favorite part of each day. We can't recommend this place enough !
