Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Wengen

We loved the place ! We used it as our base to explore Switzerland with a eurail train pass, did day trips to Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Lauterbrunnen, Thun, Interlaken and Bern. Walkable distance from the train station, also a beautiful walk in a pretty village circled by mountains. The place was squeaky clean and had everything we needed. Very friendly host, was responsive and gave clear instructions. We even had a binder explaining how to use the ameneties and with local recommandations. Would go back if I was to travel to Switzerland again !

Absolutely fantastic stay. A little away from the busier, tourist areas so was nice to enjoy the peaceful neighbourhood. Saying that it is only a 15 minute walk to the main train station. Had everything we needed for a lovely week in Interlaken. Gabrielle was fantastic at communicating beforehand so we knew what to expect and how to get in as we had a late evening arrival. Would love to stay there again should we return to Interlaken. The place was nicely decorated and spacious. Facilities were perfect for a couple.

We absolutely loved this place! The apartment was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The area was beautiful and quiet, just a few minutes walk to the lake. It was easy to drive to interlaken and surrounding areas with lots to do. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic views of lake and mountains from every room, patio and balcony. Great location/easy access to all attractions in the Berner Oberland area with all the amenities needed. Highly recommend!

It was a really beautiful house. Very close to Interlaken Ost train station, Coop super market and restaurants. It's in the quiet and charming part of the town. The outside sitting area in the backyard was my favourite. The hosts are very thoughtful. The place had everything one can need during the stay. It was a perfect stay. Will surely want to return.

Davide's place was wonderful - a really peaceful part of Wengen with incredible views. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed coffee in the morning on the balcony and making dinner in the evenings. It's a bit of a walk with suitcases to get to/from the train station on check-in and check-out days but otherwise the ~10min walk to town was very pleasant. Also very close to many great hikes. Would definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful stay at Susanne’s place, perfect for us and two teenage daughters. 20 minute walk from Wengen, beautiful views and peaceful, just the sound of the stream and cow / goat bells. Walking trails right out the door. Kitchen is tight but had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. No oven, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Jack & Jill shower room (great water pressure) between the two bedrooms and a separate bathroom. The building is a shared a property but we never heard the neighbors and host has ground floor when in town. Susanne was really responsive to all our questions and very proactive, setting up taxi for us on our arrival. Love to visit again in the winter. Thank you Susanne.

The apartment was amazing and the views beyond breathtaking with views of the falls from all three bedrooms and the kitchen. Lauterbrunnen was a great choice for our basecamp to visit the surrounding towns. For those wondering if you should take the train or rent a car, we were so thankful that we decided to rent a car. We weren’t bound to transportation schedules and was able to explore, but took the train to the towns like Mürren where cars are not allowed. And the apartment has a garage! Richard was kind enough to let us keep the car parked after check out so we could explore the area some more. One thing to note, the apartment is on the second floor so if you have a lot of luggages like we did, it may be a struggle. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, beautifully designed, and had absolutely stunning views — especially of the nearby waterfalls. The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and quiet. It made our trip incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area — we’d definitely stay here again!

The apartment is a good size and immaculate inside. Had everything we needed as well as a fondue and hot stone cooking set. Sofa bed is really easy to pull out, just needs one person and no moving of cushions etc that you get with some beds. When the snow is good you ski to and from the apart fairly easily and brings you out onto the beginner piste in the centre of the resort. Short walk to the Coop supermarket, train and town. We got the late afternoon sun on the large terrace which was an added bonus! Overall a great place to stay.

Well traveled couple in our 60’s visiting the Jungrau region/Wengen for the first time. Stayed one week as first leg of a 3 week trip to several countries. Christoph was a most responsive host and proactive in reaching out. Apartment is on second floor of a 3 story chalet that is set up for skiing. Views to the Lauterbrunnen valley (including illuminated Staubach falls) and mountain peaks are jaw-dropping. Wengen was quiet when we visited while Lauterbrunnen was thronged with tourists/ tour groups. Place was very comfortable for two people, including having a second half-bath. Location is lower than the train station. As we had several pieces of luggage with us for our 3 week trip, we used a taxi service (ibex) on our 3 minutes return up the hill to the train station (20 euro) when we were leaving Wengen for our next leg. Note that the laundry in the chalet is not available to guests. Would certainly recommend Christoph and his apartment to others.

We had an amazing stay in this unique rental! The village is beautiful, and the home had everything we needed to stay for a few days. We felt right at home and were very comfortable. And you cannot get over the views!! Highly recommend this spot!

The place offers a great way to truly enjoy the magnificence of Switzerland. Well equipped and designed including electronic controls making it really convenient. The watercloset has a built-in bidet which is another major plus. The house is around 3mins away from the bus station which directly connects to the train stations either at Spiez Bahnhof or Interlaken OST, a great base for exploring Switzerland.

We loved Wengen and are so happy we stayed at Jenny’s place. It was just as described. Peaceful and beautiful, would highly recommend it.

별점을 5점만 주는것이 아쉬운 숙소입니다. 집 문을 열고 나가면 바로 보이는 아이거 북벽과 옹기 종기 모여있는 샬레의 모습에 매일 문 열고 나가는것이 설레였습니다. 근처 역까지 도보로 15분 정도 걸리지만 그 가는길 마져 너무 아름다워 시간 가는줄 모르고 다녔네요.☺️🩷 뿐만아니라, 호스트인 아니타씨는 매우 친절하고, 응답도 매우 빠르고, 중간 중간 어려운건 없는지 체크해 주는 세심함에 너무 감사했습니다. 체크인 하는날은 물론이고, 체크아웃을 새벽 6시에 해야하는 상황임에도 차로 기차역까지 데려다줘서 무거운 캐리어 끌고 이동하지 않아도되서 너무 좋고 편했어요.!!! 집의 컨디션도 매우 현대적이고 아늑하게 꾸며져있었고, 필요한 모든 것이 다 갖춰져있어 불편한 것 하나 없이 지낼 수 있었어요!! 특히 룸 슬리퍼 제공과 우산을 빌려주는 서비스에서도 아니타의 세심함을 또 한번 더 느꼈네요👍🏻 그린델발트에 다시 방문한다면 꼭 다시 방문할거에요!!

El entorno del apartamento de Doris es simplemente MARAVILLOSO, un lugar especial que hará que sientas una pena inmensa cuando tengas que marcharte. El apartamento es pequeño, pero dispone de todo lo necesario, y Doris te hace sentirte como en casa, dispuesta en todo momento a ayudarte para hacer de tu estancia una experiencia genial. 만족한 숙소였습니다. 처음엔 완전 역근처로 잡으려 했는데 지대가 조금 있는곳에 잡기를 잘 했습니다. 경치가 너무 좋고 조용하고 임대인의 피드백도 빨랐습니다. 근처 역도 가깝고 이동하기에도 좋은 위치입니다. 또 오고싶습니다.😃😃

장점과 단점이 명확한 숙소입니다. 아이거 북벽이 바로 앞에 있어서 웅장함을 느낄 수 있습니다. 하지만 그린델발트 마을의 전경을 보고싶다면 역 근처 숙소가 더 적합합니다. 매우 청결합니다. 오래 된 나무집이라 냄새와 벌레를 걱정했는데 내부는 매우 깨끗했습니다. 하지만 말 농장이 바로 앞이라 똥파리가 많아서 문을 열어놓을 수가 없었습니다. 호스트가 친절하고 응답이 빠릅니다. 낯선 나라에서 사람 없는 한적한 곳에 머무는 것이 두려웠는데 호스트 덕분에 안전하다는 느낌을 받았습니다. 집 바로 앞에 염소, 말, 개가 있습니다. 동물을 무서워하는 사람이면 피하시는 게 좋습니다. 하지만 옆집 개 valru는 훌륭한 친구입니다. 날씨가 안 좋아서 어디 갈 수 없을 때 동물들과 시간을 보내면 좋았습니다. valru를 다시 만나고 싶습니다. valru는 성격이 매우 좋고 내 곁을 지켜준 친구입니다. 버스 정류장이 바로 앞에 있습니다. 1시간에 1대 오는 그린델발트 마을 버스가 있습니다. 시간만 잘 맞춰서 나가면 편하게 이동할 수 있습니다. 식기류가 잘 구비되어 있습니다. 예쁜 컵이 많아서 분위기 있는 식사를 할 수 있었습니다. 다만 샤워기 호스가 불편했습니다. 조금이라도 꺾이면 물이 나오지 않았습니다. 그리고 나무집이라 삐걱대는 소리가 심합니다. 윗층에 할머니가 거주하시는데 계단 올라갈 때 마다 소음이 심했습니다.

Andrea's Airbnb was a nice 3-night stay for me in the middle of a much longer trip. I needed a place to decompress, do laundry, and recover from international flights and jetlag. Andrea's condo in Spiez was a spacious and convenient choice. The condo is a short walk from the picturesque town and the train station, and the neighborhood was very quiet while I was there. I agree with the suggestion to take the bus up the hill from the train station to the stop near the condo if you are carrying luggage or groceries. I also agree with reviewers that mentioned the lack of a microwave, which was OK for a short stay but I would miss if I rented for a longer time. The grocery store is near the train station and walkable. I will caution that almost everything in town is closed on Sunday, so if you arrive on a Saturday then pick up enough groceries to tide you over to Monday. There's a small convenience store at the train station if you have to buy on Sunday. I would stay here again.

Auf unserer Rundreise durch die Schweiz die schönste Unterkunft mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist super sauber und gemütlich und bietet alles, was man braucht. Von der Unterkunft aus gibt es viele Ausflugsziele, die mit Auto top zu erreichen waren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne noch einmal wieder.
