Hi- this is private tent camping on a horse farm in kerhonkson, NY It is not a campground! $25/ person per night! Many sites so even if it shows booked , reach out to me!! There is no water or electricity but you can have a small fire if conditions allow. Yes, portajohn. You can drive your car to the site which is in a field. Check in /out noon Quiet, respectful and law abiding folks only! We know people need some fresh air, leg stretching, stars,connecting to nature & change of scenery.

Shawangunk House

The house was built in 2018. It is very modern and open. It is located 8 minutes from Minnewaska State Park, 10 minutes from the Mohonk Preserve, and 30 minutes from the Catskills. There is a Smart TV which has cable. There is also a record player with a large record selection. There is strong WIFI and great cell phone coverage from all carriers. We have an EV level 2 charger. There is an additional charge to use the charger. Please contact us if you want to add charging to your stay.

The house is surrounded by green and nature, but close to cute towns for shopping and dining and of course all the area has to offer with hikes and outdoor activities. Or stay in and lounge on the deck, listen to some records, watch a movie, and relax. It's everything you need for a dream vacation.

Blue Haven in the Catskills

We built a studio-house on the foundation of an old summer cottage. We did not expand the footprint, but furnished it with select pieces and appliances and gave it contemporary finishes. We also added a screened porch, open deck and stone patio. The woodland and mountain views are lovely, while the location is convenient to Lake Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve. Ulster County levies a 2% tax on overnight stays. Payment is made anytime between confirmation and arrival.

Nestled amongst the trees below Bonticou Crag this is a great base camp for climbing, hiking and biking. Five minutes from New Paltz; I do recommend having a car to access the area. Shared yard and fire pit right outside. My family and I live in the main part of the house. The outside area and house are still under construction, I’m working on it but its not put together yet. The apartment and inside area are clean and newly built with their own mini split and air circulation.

Kerhonkson Oasis: Where Comfort Meets Nature

We had a great stay at Benjamin's place! The home is super clean, nicely designed, had games, kitchen essentials, and was a perfect spot for the 4 of us and our two dogs. The beds were comfortable as well! The location is ideal for hiking at Minnewaska (15 min max and you're in the parking lot). We also popped to local breweries and cideries (Rough Cut, Westwind and Arrowwood). All of these were between 5-10 minutes away. SO convenient! Local restaurants (Mill and Main and Stonehouse Tavern) were also within 5-10 minutes. The location is super ideal and close to so many spots, while also feeling very private. The backyard was nice and spacious for the dogs to run around, and it was a bonus to have the deck to hang out on for morning coffee. Overall, we'd highly recommend this space for anyone looking to have a good balance of activity and peace. Benjamin is a fantastic host - he was very communicative, accommodating, and we appreciate his hospitality. Cheers!

Perfect spot in one of our favorite parts of the Hudson Valley (right near amazing hikes in Minnewaska / Mohonk, and near enough solid breweries / restaurants). Place was private and felt at home (we even cooked in one night), and our dog enjoyed the big grassy backyard (just a note for dog owners: it is not fenced in). Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is perfect for those autumn weekend getaways. We were impressed by how beautiful the cabin is and how close it is to all of the fun, restaurants and beautiful views we wanted. Our only recommendation would be having additional privacy in the living room, as the curtains are see through. Stan is a great host, very responsive, super helpful. Overall, we had a great stay and will consider the Honk Hideaway when we are back in town.

Great place to stay in the Catskills if you want something peaceful in the woods. It was a great price for how clean, quiet and aesthetically pleasing this place was. While it was off the beaten path, it was a short drive to many of the cool places in the area and the hosts give a great book of recommendations that was very helpful. Would stay here again!
