Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Settle into a quaint farmhouse nestled in a valley in the rolling, forested hills of the Driftless Region. Start your day with a cup of local coffee on the front porch. Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

Just 4 miles from Gatherings on the Ridge, 20 minutes from Historic Downtown Prairie Du Chien and a short jaunt to the river. Sleeps 8-10, master bedroom with a queen, 2 queens & queen sofa sleeper in loft, queen in basement , 2 baths, master bath has jetted tub, full kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, toaster, keurig, coffee pot, coffee, waffle iron, etc.)

Secluded farmhouse with glass hot tub room 600 acres of private trails to hike and explore the cave. Bring your UTV and ride the trails for $30 per driver and $10 per passenger or rent a UTV for $300. Close to trout fishing stream or Mississippi for fishing. Approx 15 miles from Prairie Du Chein, close to canoeing for the Kickapoo, Wisconsin river. Has a gas & charcoal grill, pool table, firepit, Smart TV. As of 2025, a resident beaver family are redesigning the creek/yard: you'll have a front row seat.

Modern Rustic Family Getaway- Our cabin is not a place to stay while on vacation...our cabin is the vacation! You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to just unwind. Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien and Ferryville, this cabin gets you about 5 minutes from the river but allows you the serenity of being tucked away in the trees.

The log cabin was built as a place to unwind, relax, and truly unplug. Nestled among 15 acres of rolling hills, the cabin can serve as a place to hunker down and read three novels, or a home base for hiking, cycling and putting the nature back in your life. Be advised, there is NO television and that’s for good reason. Cook, drink, eat, play, relax and refresh yourself. Wake up to the songs of birds and listen to the owls at night while you’re warming yourself around a bonfire.

The cottage offers miles of private walking trails on 100 private acres along the renowned Big Green trout stream. Our small highland cow herd roams the pastures, making it feel like you truly are in the Scottish Highlands.

The Cocorico Cabin is a three-bedroom, two-bath secluded cabin on over 9 acres of wooded land just 10 minutes from the Mississippi River. You'll have loads of yard space for games, or you can enjoy sitting on the deck watching birds or staring at the stars.
