An absolutely fabulous cottage! My husband and I needed a few days of peace and quiet away from all the hustle and bustle of life and work. The Rose Cottage was the perfect place! The privacy and quiet was just what we needed. Thouroughly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the back porch and even had a couple Shetland ponies visit us there! Saw deer daily and enjoyed the small pond and bench near the cottage. Enjoyed the magazines and a puzzle (which my husband never does!) and the hot tub. The drive in and out of the property was stunning. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken a few walks. It was a fabulous getaway! Hope to visit again!

Memorable lake house! Really close to the Lake and State Park! House is super modern, with good amenities for a family or couples such as bbq pit, TV's, starlink wifi, hot tub, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

This is our second time staying at the Cardinal Cottage, and my guess is that it won’t be the last! We love the simplicity of the space and make great use of the laundry/pool room for storing wet clothes and quick changes. Upstairs is spacious and comfortable and fits our family of 6 extremely well. We appreciate baby items like the pack and play, as well as the high chair seat so that we don’t have to pack as many of these things on our own! The pool is a small distance from the house, but great visibility, so we could let our older kids play as we watched from the screened porch, which also makes it feel incredibly serene when in the pool. The lap pool is totally unnecessary, which makes it all the more super-cool! There is a generous landing pad in the pool where my toddler could play, and my older kids loved doing laps and diving for pool toys in the deep end! The hot tub was perfect—even though it was warm out—to enjoy at sunset. This space is so well thought-out and clean!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming cottage and was absolutely delighted by the experience. The photos in the listing, while lovely, don’t fully capture the warmth and beauty of this hidden gem; it’s truly even more enchanting in person. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the cozy ambiance and thoughtful touches throughout the space. The living area is both comfortable and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy them in the quaint dining nook. The bedroom offers a restful retreat with its plush bedding and serene decor. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and sipping coffee on the private patio was a highlight of my mornings. The surrounding area is picturesque, offering plenty of opportunities for leisurely walks and immersing oneself in the local scenery. The host’s hospitality was exceptional, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a seamless stay.

We booked the Quebe Guesthouse for a girls trip to Round Top Antiques Fair. It was amazing! The farmhouse is beautiful. It was the perfect place for the four of us. Charlotte came to greet us and provided eggs, milk, single serve Blue Bell ice cream…so thoughtful. We enjoyed learning about the history of the property and even took an RTV ride with Bill. Coffee on the front porch was delightful. We cooked several meals and also enjoyed a couple of restaurants in Brenham: The Brenham Grill & Ninety Six West. We had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend this property. Charlotte - thank you for your hospitality!

We had such a great weekend in Brenham!! The house is beautiful and perfect for a family or group of friends staying together. There are 3 large bedrooms and the beds are extremely comfortable with plenty of blankets. Susan provided a very welcome gift basket with wine and snacks. It’s located close to town and you can walk around the neighborhood. This was our second time staying at this location and certainly won’t be the last!!

Love staying here - the scenery is unbeatable with giant old oak trees, the surroundings are peaceful and the wildflowers were gorgeous! The wigwam house is comfortable and has everything you need. Will stay again.

Overall great host and good price. It was a little confusing to get to the place, especially at night, the area is too dark. The space was just the right size for the amount of people in our party, and had all the amenities that we needed.

The grounds are absolutely stunning. So peaceful and beautiful. We were lucky to stay here.

Great house and great patio! We enjoyed the porch swing while listening to the creek and watching the birds.

Alba was very easy to communicate with, her place is beautiful and relaxing, quiet with gorgeous trees all around and very comfortable; we had a great weekend!!!

This was the second time for my family to gather at this house for a Winedale weekend. The house is very comfortable with peaceful surroundings. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. Location is ideal for family or friends coming to enjoy Shakespeare at Winedale. Highly recommended!

We loved our little Cottage; we loved Eva’s communication and description. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the Keurig was the best we’d ever used! The only thing that kind of “threw us” was that we were here for a wedding and there was no real place to hang our go-to-wedding clothes, but we still showed up well dressed and neat :-) Would stay here again when/if visiting Round Top.

This was a great little cottage for our weekend stay. It was spotless and smelled clean when we arrived. It was exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C and fan kept the cottage nice and cool. When we arrived back to the cottage one night there was a herd of deer bear the cottages. This city girl loved seeing them explore. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay here.
