Our home is situated in a central neighbourhood in the beautiful town of Harrismith, boasting with views of our scenic Platberg over the many treetops. We have two selfcatering units on our property, Protea Plekkie/Place (this listing, 4 guests max) and Protea Hoekie/Corner (seperate listing, 2 guests). Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

The photos looked interesting and the reviews were fantastically positive - then the reality? Absolutely splendid! 10/10 - minus nothing! We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was spotless, cozy, private, safe, and secluded, with thoughtful touches throughout. Everything we needed (and more) was provided. Michelle was incredibly attentive, offering great advice and quick responses, and Vincent and Nadia were so kind helping us when we got stuck in the mud. Such warm, welcoming hosts. Thank you for an unforgettable getaway - we’ll definitely be back!

Had an absolute blast staying at this amazing place over the weekend! The hosts were super welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was clean, cozy, and perfectly decorated. We loved the location, too - it was close to all the best spots in town.

We loved our stay at the rondawel! Very peaceful surroundings on a working farm with everything we needed to make our visit comfortable and great value for money. Wanita was a wonderful hostess who responded promptly to our queries. We also ate twice at her restaurant, "Thyme", which was outstanding!

A welcoming bedroom is presented with a spacious bed dressed in soft linens and assorted pillows. Natural light filters through a sheer curtain, illuminating the cozy area. A plush rug lies on the floor, complimenting two wooden nightstands with decorative elements.
