5 bedroom home on the marina with private pontoon

Extremely spacious home with plenty of beds and lounge areas. The pontoon was a massive highlight for kids. They loved fishing and kayaking from it. Would definitely return.

Moonta Miners Retreat

RobertRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We stayed one night at this beautifully renovated property while passing through the Yorke Peninsula. The barn doors add a beautiful rustic touch, and the space is well-appointed, comfortable, and full of charm. Peaceful and secluded, yet walking distance to the Moonta Old Sweet Shop and Moonta Mines Museum. We made the most of the sunny weather on our departure day and explored the Moonta Mines Walking Trail, including the recently restored Hughes Enginehouse and Smiths Shaft—so much fascinating copper mining history in the area. We’re already looking forward to returning in winter to enjoy the fireplace and soak up the cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend for a relaxing and convenient stay.
A fully renovated kitchen features a central wooden island with two woven bar stools. White cabinetry contrasts with dark slate flooring. Open shelving displays plants and dishware. A small decorative piece of art is mounted above the stove, enhancing the bright and functional workspace.

We had a wonderful time at Protea Cottage, thanks to Amber's impeccable taste in furnishings, decor and cleanliness. Amber is obviously very detailed and has thought of everything a guest might need. We were very impressed and we should know as we are also Super Hosts. Would highly recommend a stay. Very comfortable. Lois & Kevin.

Schroeder Cottage

MichelleRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We would like to thank our host Lorraine for the comfortable, clean, home away from home. The attention to the small things like leaving toiletries and condiments for guests is very useful and appreciated. Nothing that we used was in ill repair. The garden in the back yard is very tidy and relaxing to sit in. Our dog was very happy to be outside during the day and to be allowed to sleep inside out of the cold. Equally we were happy not to have left the lorikeet at home where he couldn't be cared for due to the "pets are welcome" policy. When travelling, there are accomodations to stay in that just don't hit the mark. We found Shroeder cottage a high quality accommodation that we would want to return to. Shhh! don't tell everyone or the secret will get out!😀
