Carrabelle Retreat w/ Boat Dock + Views of Gulf!

MichaelRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Loved staying at this place for the Thanksgiving holidays! Perfect for the six of us (plus two dogs). Very peaceful and quiet- we never saw any neighbors, and it seemed like this house had the only dock not destroyed by a storm. We caught redfish right off the dock in only about 2-3 feet of water. Bring your own rods, but definitely worth it, if you like to fish. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and gorgeous views. A great stay!
The private hot tub is situated on a spacious deck overlooking the beach, surrounded by calm ocean waters and a distant shoreline. The nearby red and white two-story home is partially visible, enhancing the coastal ambiance.

An aerial view captures the property nestled along the canal, surrounded by lush greenery and waterfront homes. The private dock is visible in the backyard, with boats moored nearby and the expansive Gulf waters stretching out in the background.

Stay here, you won't be disappointed! We had a fabulous 4-night stay at The Oyster Bay House! We were attending FSU graduation with extended family and the house had plenty of room for the seven of us. We spent most of our time on the back decks drinking coffee in the mornings and refreshments at night. Being next to the water was so peaceful. We spent one morning walking around the neighborhood and everyone was friendly, saying Hi or waving. There are a lot of restaurant options within 20 minutes (many on the water) and we never struggled to find a place to eat. The host provided pages of house amenities, things to do in the area, and recommendations of nearby attractions and restaurants. We wanted to be away from the craziness of Tally during graduation but short commute and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a mini-reunion with family. This house hit all the boxes and then some. Biggest disappointment...that we didn't find this place 4 years ago!

A wooden deck extends over the water, framed by tall trees and lush vegetation. A picnic table and a dark green chair are visible, while a grill stands in the corner. The serene waterfront reflects the surrounding greenery, inviting a peaceful atmosphere.

Buckhorn Creek Lodge, "Nature on the River"

We so enjoyed our stay! The kayaking along Buckhorn Creek was phenomenal. Robert set up the machine so we had fresh ground coffee each morning. The 2 rooms were spacious and it was wonderful to have the mini fridge and private bathroom on the 2nd floor along with access to the full kitchen on the main floor. Highly recommend.
