Cottage vacation rentals in Volusia County

Stephen was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and flexible as possible. He was proactive in letting us know that the check-in time was available sooner than listed. His keyless entry made it very easy to access his house and made it easy for all in my party to come and go as they pleased. His house was very clean and you could tell that as soon as you walked in the door. Everything worked well, his AC system provided arctic level cooling, his pool and hot tube was ready for use, his screened in game room was fun and actually stayed cool throughout the day, his outside gathering areas had plenty of seating, and his dock provided plenty of room to fish. This location on the canal was beautiful and easily accessible to St John's River. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone who wants a cool place to stay, relax and have fun. Thank you, Stephen, for your allowing us to stay at your house it was well worth the cost.

We truly appreciated this sweet little home. It was in a central location to family members we were visiting. It was very clean, organized, comfortable, and had everything you needed. The deck overlooking the pond always had a wonderful breeze- very peaceful place to spend time. I enjoyed figuring out the layout of the neighborhood and it made for an enjoyable walk every morning. The hosts are super KIND!! From the first confirmation message, check-in instructions, and throughout our stay they were attentive and responsive. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises!! Thank YOU Larry Karen for sharing your lovely home❤️- side note: the RV community had a couple events for the residents during our stay. A karaoke music thing Friday evening and then water inflatables for the kids on Saturday— very kind for the kids especially- nice community!

Gator Cottage is a great place to stay. Hosts communicated very clear instructions and helpful information about the area. Easy check in and the cottage was very clean and ready when we arrived. Hosts were very responsive to any questions. The location is quiet, private and very Florida on the shore of Lake Jessup. Easy access to Oviedo and the greater Orlando area. Great restaurants close by in Oviedo and Winter Springs. Check out the Black Hammock restaurant and Lazy Gator Bar for relaxing meal and/or drinks right next door. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again on our next visit to the area.

This is our 2nd time staying at EJs- it’s so comfortable and it’s filled with amenities along with a great hot tub and a beautiful view! So much room in this house! It’s a favorite of ours and we will likely be back next year!

We stayed with our family in the big house next to the cottage during the weekend and needed more days for a couple of us so it worked perfect. Very comfy.

We stayed at this property a year ago in the upstairs unit. I originally rented that one again (I had been thrilled with it). After I booked it, Jordyn told me she had accidentally double booked the unit. She moved us to this slightly more expensive unit at no charge, and i didnt even have to rebook. She took care of it for us. Personally, I would still book the upstairs unit because of a couple small details that are just personal preference. Both units are excellent. This downstairs one is large, has a beautiful porch, and a slightly larger bathroom. The full size washer dryer was a really nice touch. We really enjoyed the full kitchen as well. The location is excellent. County Road 44A is still a quiet country road in an area that has been rapidly developing over the past couple decades. It is close to Alexander Springs, Mt. Dora, and only 45 miles from the beach or Disney. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back next time we are in central florida.

Maria's home is located on a canal that connects to the Tomoka River, and the kayak adventures are not to be missed! We enjoyed the wonderful Florida wildlife a short paddle away (manatees, gators, so many birds!). For the less adventurous, the backyard is perfect for relaxing in the sun and outdoor dining, very private with lots of comfy seating. The house inside was very clean and well stocked, with great restaurants and shopping at nearbyTrails Shopping Center. Maria was very responsive to any questions we had, and our two-week stay at her place was the perfect "snowbird escape" for us!

Ormand Beach is spectacular. The house is charming. It's the family's beach home, and as renters/visitors you share that home with the owners and are responsible for it. The house is full of beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and every water accessory you might need. It was a privilege to get to spend a week there. We had a great time staying at Kenneth’s Airbnb. The home was just like the photos and description. The screened in patio in the back was one of our favorite places to hang. The backyard was big and our dogs loved it. It was so close to the beautiful Downtown Mt Dora area with food and shopping. Would definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at several of the cottages at the Alling House and the property is beautiful. In general all the cottages are very nice. This one (Homestead) is the oldest of the bunch and does show its age. That being said the unit was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I’d be happy to stay here again.

Cute little house right next to the beach. Walking distance to local restaurants and shops. House is a bit older but cozy and charming. About a mile from Flagler entrance ramp. Quiet neighborhood even though close to local bars you do not hear the night life. Will was very responsive. Would stay again.

Thanks again Amanda and team for the great stay. House is in a perfect spot for a beach stay and/or Daytona. Would HIGHLY recommend for a race or concert to really get the best of both worlds! 20 minutes to the racetrack and all the dining and entertainment you need within walking distance once you get back to the house. Safe, easy location, great for kids. 5 stars. Steal of a deal for the location.

A little expensive for an older and tiny place, but well kept and really the location made our decision.

This charming 1927 era home is serving cottage core ruffles and the flowery porcelain teacups of your dreams. We were transported back to another era when we walked inside, in a good way. Nostalgia with air conditioning! It was a short drive to bustling downtown Mt. Dora/Tevares. The house was comfortable and quiet. We especially appreciated the gated, fenced in yard so we could include our dog. It was really nice to have a quiet place to come back to after being in downtown with some of the weekend crowds. It was very easy to load in and out from the driveway/off-street parking. There are large live oaks in the backyard with lots of shade. Lake County is very dog friendly and there are many local restaurants that have outdoor seating so you can bring your well-behaved pup. There was also a neighborhood green space (no playground) just around the corner from the house. The grocery store was an eight-minute drive. A relaxing local getaway from our perspective.

This was our second stay there, we love it. Very quiet, clean, comfortable, with great views We would definitely return. Great communication from Claire!

Amazing property in a great location. Host was incredibly responsive!

Saltys place was a great place to break the monotony of working on the rode and hotel living. This place was just like home, full kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy bed and couch, dresser drawers to stow your belongings. My wife loved it, with all the pros about this place had to be one con. Honestly it's no fault of the host, just the surrounding neighborhood is a little rough and tumble after dark. Don't let this deter you from staying with Salty because the house and property is safe and secured with multiple cameras. Thank you again Salty

Nice home and responsive

It was very nice. It was just enough out of the way but close enough to everything we wanted to do. It was perfect for the kids. They had a blast on the swing set. Very nice place and it was perfect for our 4 day vacation!
