There is no Wi-Fi, and dishes must be washed by hand. But, the location can give peace of mind with beautiful sea views of Ålfjorden, large property with lots of nature, access to beach, fishing and short distance to Ølen, Etne, Odda/Trolltunga, Haugesund and Karmøy.

Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

Great nature experiences are only a short drive away and great hiking opportunities are "right outside the door." Drive on National tourist routes to Hardanger can be recommended if you want to explore the beautiful western nature and famous attraction Trolltunga and the spectacular Langfossen waterfall.
