Charming cottage near pool!

Charming simple little cottage, please follow us on Instagram, where there are more pictures, search for @lilla.dalen. The cottage is located privately by the gravel road surrounded by pastures and forest. Here you can easily live close to nature. There is no electricity or running water, which means you can light candles, fire in the stove, shower outside in our outdoor shower, cook over an open fire/on a wood stove, grill or on the gas stove. Charming outdoor toilet available. A couple of kilometers away there is a municipal pool with changing room and shower.

The house is located on a hill with about 100 meters down through oak forest to the lake where there is a jetty with rowboat and canoe included in the rent. Good opportunities for fishing in the lake and across the lake is Kristinebergsbadet with a sandy beach. To Astrid Lindgren's World, it is about 20 minutes by car. The narrow-gauge railway, hiking trail, bike path and more are just around the corner. Bed linens and towels can be rented for SEK 200/person.

A few minutes to the closest lake by foot, nice hiking terrain just outside the door, and of course the climate of the Swedish east coast, sunny and warm. The cozy town Gamleby (= Old village) is 15 minutes away. Gamleby is at the end of Gamleby coastal inlet which leads to Västervik, a city with 21,000 inhabitans, a diverce city with restaurants and shopping opportunities. You can get to Astrid Lindgren’s world in Vimmerby 40 minutes by car.

Stay in the middle of the woods by a lake but only 13 kilometers (3 km gravel road) from Vimmerby. In the large cottage, there is a refrigerator, LPG stove and fresh water in a container (not running water) but there is lake water in the faucet at the outdoor kitchen. The small cottage has an indoor toilet and fresh water in containers. The electricity is powered by a battery bank and solar cells. Outdoor sauna and boat available.

Our vacation home is located on a quiet side street at the end of Silverdalen. It is located in the middle of Astrid Lindgren's värld, adjacent to Lönneberga. 10 km to Hultsfred and 20 km to Vimmerby. Direct forest access opposite the property. Swimming and fishing lake about 2 km away with large lawn, seating, changing rooms, toilets. Other swimming and fishing lakes in the immediate vicinity.

This accommodation is good for a family who wants to get out into the countryside and stay secluded but at the same time close to several popular tourist attractions. You can also enjoy the wood-fired hot tub with a glass of Cava after a busy day at Astrid Lindgren's World.
