Mountain Hikers Luxury Retreat in Roquefixade

AlastairRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Roquefixade is a very picturesque village and the accomodation is excellent, with a spectacular outlook. There are lovely walks in the area. We especially enjoyed the chateau circuit and another loop walk to Les Demoiselles. Tom was a very friendly and helpful host.
A person is seated at a wooden picnic table, gazing out over rolling hills adorned with golden and green foliage. A glass of red wine rests on the table, complementing the tranquil setting. The scene captures the essence of countryside relaxation.

Domaine de Polfages - Mazamet truly idyllic

NikkiRating, 5 stars9 months ago
What an incredible location! We absolutely loved our stay and felt right at home straight away. The hosts were so friendly and warm and our children especially loved their dogs Rufus and Carmen. Photos don’t do the place justice. The view is breathtaking and it really is a place you can relax and unwind. The welcome pack of wine, bread, jams, milk and cake was a lovely surprise and the villa had everything we needed! Could not recommend this airbnb more! We absolutely loved it!

A panoramic view of the surrounding countryside is captured, showcasing lush greenery and a diverse array of trees. Bright orange flowers bloom in the foreground, while a clear blue sky with scattered clouds stretches above the horizon, where hills are faintly visible.

Country cottage in the countryside

MargarethaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a lovely week at Nadine and Nicolas’s gite! Nicolas was incredibly helpful when we arrived late without food or drinks available and provided pasta and sauce to feed our family of 5! There also was a bottle of wine in the welcome box so we were more than happy! We were not aware there was a sauna at the house and on a wet cold night, Nicolas very kindly offered us its use and lit the log burner outdoor sauna for us to use! What a treat!!! The pool was fresh but in September we were not expecting it to be warm! The house was lovely, my only “issue” was that the top floor shower had weak water pressure and the downstairs bathroom had a bath with a hand held shower head. My sons are very tall and struggled to shower comfortably. This DID NOT spoil our holiday as it’s just a minor issue! Mirepoix just 25 minutes away was one of our fab places to visit with an amazing market on a Monday morning which is a must !! There is much to do in the area and a car is a necessity ! Thanks N&N x
A wood-burning stove is situated within a rustic stone hearth, featuring a wooden mantel above. The flames provide warmth and a glow, creating a cozy focal point in the room. A television is mounted on the wall above the mantel, and decorative items are placed nearby.

The Shoemaker, Plaigne

KimRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this lovely house in Plaigne, a beautiful scenic village in rural south France. About 30 minutes from Carcassonne airport, roughly an hour from Andorra and only 90 minutes to the Med the accommodation is ideally situated. The accommodation is comfortable, incredibly clean, maintained to a high standard and is very well equipped. Belpeche is a short drive away and the beautiful town of Meirpoix with its weekly market and good choice of shops, bars and restaurants is within easy reach. The views of the Pyrenees from the terrace are breathtaking and one that you will never tire of seeing. The hosts, Pete and Jane, are very welcoming and friendly and happy to share their knowledge on the local area. Overall a fantastic accommodation, location and holiday. I look forward to staying again.

Fully fenced wooden country house.

StéphanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are delighted with our stay in "the little house on the prairie". The house is functional, the rooms spacious. Everything is very well laid out. The setting is very pleasant, from sunrise to sunset, the view of the Pyrenees is magnificent. When you're looking for peace and quiet, it's ideal. Mirepoix is 15 minutes away, Belpech is 10 minutes away by car for shops. You can even get there by bike in 30 to 40 minutes if you like the elevation gain😉. Michelle welcomed us spontaneously with our 4 dogs (and I thank her especially for that because we regularly get refused for the 4...) who enjoyed the perfectly enclosed yard. Thanks also to the neighbors Janine and Christian, very friendly and kind to us and our animals. Michelle is a responsive host (TV changed 24 hours before our arrival), friendly and available if useful. In summary, a stay cut off from the world, rejuvenating and a very original site that I recommend!
A shaded stone table with three matching benches is positioned on a grassy area, overlooking a serene swimming pool. Lush greenery and blooming bushes surround the pool, providing a peaceful view of the landscape beyond.

Moulin du Quercy

MounierRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent a week at Emilie and Sylvain's beautiful mill. The mill is very well-equipped, it just lacks a kitchen knife. The entire exterior and interior are carefully decorated. The turntable in the bedroom with 3 quality vinyls adds extra charm. The garden lounge is super cozy with stunning views! The SPA area looks even better in real life! In the evening the frogs sing, what a pity not to have seen them swimming in the pool!

A historic stone castle sits atop a rocky hill, surrounded by lush greenery. The clear blue sky provides a striking backdrop to the fortifications, showcasing the weathered stone walls and remnants of the structure's towers. The scene conveys a sense of tranquility in nature.

Le Cœur d'Aval, your cocoon in the city center!

KateRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Spacious apartment in a quiet street close to the main square where there are many places to eat and drink. We were only there for 2 nights but the apartment was perfect for us - very clean, great shower and really good communication with Mathieu and Monique. We would recommend this place.
