CHACHALAKA

JosefineRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Stunning, remote and private location. House is gorgeous with views you don’t want to leave again. The main living space is always outdoors. Kitchen is fully functional but basic. Two large bedrooms with AC plus a smaller office. Shop in PV or ask Ricardo and family to cook for you. You are quite remote so shopping is limited.

The staff was friendly and the place was unreal. We got to see a lot of fish from the patio
A beachfront stone house is framed by palm trees and tropical plants. A sandy pathway leads to the entrance, while the ocean can be seen in the background. The building features arched windows and a thatched roof, creating a rustic and inviting atmosphere.

Secluded beach front paradise home

DillonRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Kathy and Rulon were fantastic hosts, they were very responsive and proactive about recommendations. The property is beautiful, 10 out of 10. We visited the small towns of Corrales, Mayto, and Tehualmixtle to swim, snorkel (Rulon and Kathy shared their snorkeling gear), and eat food. The food everywhere is amazing, you can’t go wrong. We rented 4wheelers from a local in Tehualmixtle and rode around the beaches, and we zip lined on the property. A few tips: Your rental vehicles need to be 4 wheel drive. Pick up pesos in Puerto Vallarta, you can exchange $USD in some of the local restaurants but PV is easier. Touch up on your Spanish, this is very rural Mexico where the locals speak practically zero English. Pick up some grocery staples in PV for your stay, especially meats, the local abarrotes will only have limited groceries. You won’t have cell service so download any music, maps, etc Our trip was fantastic, we can’t recommend this property and the area enough.

Casa Rosa! Mexico meets Greece with amazing Views!

BenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely loved our 5-night stay at Casa Rosa! It was the perfect spot to unwind, with stunning views and beautiful weather. The home looks exactly like the photos—if not better—and had everything we needed. Just a short, easy ride to great local restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again!

Juan's Eco-Cabin La Gabiota (the seagull)

FelicityRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is a hidden gem. Gorgeous view of the ocean and lots of flowers and palms. Juan and his son were very helpful and kind. We loved our horseback ride with Juan and he taught us many things about the local plants. We loved this part of our stay! The cabana is quite off the beaten path, but close enough to a couple of hotels if guests need a reprieve (internet and food). The amnesties at Juan’s place are quite basic, so if you plan to cook, bring all your own food and matches to light the stove. Also bring some camping lights as the solar lights may not always be charged for the evening. The waves get quite loud at night, so earplugs may help for those who are sensitive to sound. There’s no electricity, so prepare for that. An amazing spot! We’ll be back.
A round dining table is surrounded by four black woven chairs on a balcony with a metal railing. The scene features panoramic sea views, with calm waters extending to the horizon and clear skies above. A decorative bowl rests at the center of the table.

Studio on the beach and beautiful sea view

Sergio AndresRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The apartment is very nice, the view is spectacular and the decor is very tasteful. A highly recommended apartment.
An aerial view captures the expansive sandy beach meeting the ocean, with gentle waves lapping at the shore. In the background, a hillside is dotted with green vegetation, highlighting the natural environment surrounding the area. A circle indicates the location of Villa Las Tortugas on the elevated coastline.

Villa Las Tortugas, Mayto Beach

KatieRating, 5 stars47 months ago
Israel and Erika were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and very thoughtful. We have stayed in Mayto for several years and never rented a place with a kitchen, much less a beautiful kitchen like this one! This was a huge plus for us: having a place to cook fish my husband caught on the beach was fantastic. We also loved the very comfortable bed, the view of the ocean, and the proximity to the gorgeous Mayto beach (just a quick walk down the hill!). We were impressed with the Internet speeds in the middle of nowhere! We had a wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave. In fact we accidentally almost stayed an extra night (mix up with our calendar) and Israel was totally gracious about our mistake. This is a really nice house for a rural area!
