Villa vacation rentals in Vathianos Kampos

Overall, we felt very comfortable, were always well looked after and the apartment met our expectations. You have to know that in the evening hours one or the other plane also flies to Heraklion. A small supermarket is directly on site and a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, a quick shopping or eating out by public transport is not so easy without a rental car. By car, everything is no problem in five minutes in a wide selection. The view and the apartment is very good. Swimming on site on foot in five minutes very possible below the apartment. This one was much more generous than expected. Overall, we will be happy to come back.

Great for a group, whether family or friends. Expectations were exceeded and the host was super friendly and helpful. Would come back any time.

What a wonderful experience we had here! Xristos and his family went above and beyond to accommodate us and their hospitality was impeccable- we felt like family. We are a family of 5 - including a baby and Xristos made sure so provide a crib, a bed rail, children’s toys for our girls and a lovely welcome basket with goodies. He was extremely helpful when it came to local recommendations. We would recommend this home to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Stayed with a group of friends for a week and had a great time. Faidra was quick to respond and proactive throughout our stay, providing all sorts of helpful recommendations. The villa was spacious with a great pool and barbecue ready to roll. It’s located in a quiet area so you’ll need a car, although within walking distance you can get to a few local shops, a lovely taverna, an olive oil mill (would recommend a tasting) and, if you want to give the driver a day off, a winery about half an hour hike away. All told, was a great base for exploring this part of Crete and fantastic value.

Wow ! Wow ! Wow Just don't know where to start. From the minute that we arrived everything was perfect. Thanos was by far the best host that we have ever had. The swimming pool was the cleanest and best maintained that we have ever come across on our travels. Can not believe how quickly Thanos responded to an issue with leaking washing machine with brand new one delivered and fitted within 12 hours. We where in Crete for our friends daughters wedding and asked Thanos for recommendations for local hairdresser. He told us most where closed on Mondays but went above and beyond to find one in Heraklion , booked appointment and arranged a taxi to take us. Can not recommend this villa highly enough. Outstanding!! 10 STAR rating for Thanos and his amazing cat Nicos. We would not hesitate in returning.

The house overlooks a gorgeous valley with olive groves and beautiful hills. There is a very good view of the sea. There are multiple places to sit outside and watch the sunrise and sunset. We were there in January. It was cold at night and the host bought blankets so we could comfortably sit outside at night and star gaze. The inside is beautiful. Beds very comfortable with good sheets and I’m very particular about bed linens. Fully stocked kitchen. We grilled outside one night and cooked inside twice and they had everything we needed including spices and olive oil. The layout of the house allowed 4 people to stay there with lots of privacy. The home is beautifully decorated. They have many large TVs but we spent our time on the patio watching the birds, listening to dogs communicate across the valley, and enjoying the breeze and gorgeous view of the sea and nearby island. The pictures do not convey how gorgeous the view is. House is very private and safe. Host is very attentive.

Georges was very welcoming from the moment we arrived and was available by message throughout our stay, which made our organization much easier. Communication was smooth, fast and efficient, whether for check-in, checkout or to answer any questions we may have. The accommodation was perfectly as described and shown in the listing photos: clean and well-equipped.

The apartment was exactly as described. The pool and the house are very nice. All air conditioners work smoothly, which means it's not too hot in the house. The outdoor area is very good for relaxing. Beach and restaurants are not too far away and within walking distance if necessary, but I would recommend a car.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

We had a very nice stay, the house was so lovely, with everything provided even a cleaning service. Restaurants and beach clubs can be reach by foot (approximately 10 min walk). There is a very nice traditional village near the house with excellent restaurants (approximately 15 min walk). But most of all thank you very much Stefani for everything you were so nice and helpful, really many thanks everything was perfect thanks to you 🙏🏼 ☺️

We had an extremely nice stay at the villa. The pool and views are simply breathtaking. The rooms are very spacious and there is plenty of space to relax. Everything was very clean and we didn't miss anything. Thank you for everything Stavros. We will be back!

We stayed here for my bachelorette trip with a group of girls and had the most amazing time! The villa was even more beautiful in person – clean, spacious, and full of charm. The outdoor space was perfect for lounging by the pool- he even tried helping us heat the pool bc we got a chilly day so we still had a great time and soaking in the Greek view. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, helping us with everything from local tips to arranging transportation and a private boat trip and massages . It truly felt like a dream getaway – peaceful, private, and full of good vibes LUXURIOUS- 5 STAR Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good trip all the way around- group trip, girls’ getaway, or any special occasion! Thank you for making our stay in Crete unforgettable!

We had a great time in this lovely villa. The outside is truly beautiful and we loved spending the day at the pool. Inside is also very nice especially with the brand new kitchen. We would love to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay in Thomais´resort. Thomais did everything to make us feel welcome and welcomed us with homemade cooking and wine. Located on the mountain top the distance to shopping and restaurants is several kilometers, but excellent taxi service solved this so we dropped our plans to rent a car.

The villa looked exactly like photos, the host was super helpful and friendly. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation had everything we needed. Our host was very communicative and even brought us breakfast one morning – a very kind gesture! Within 5 minutes, you can reach the beach, a café, a restaurant, and a supermarket. Other than that, there isn’t much in the immediate surroundings, but the location is perfect for a relaxing stay.

Our stay here was excellent- the villa was perfect - with great open plan kitchen , dining and lounge areas . Bedrooms were comfortable with air conditioning in all but one . The pool was perfect - good size and great temperature. There was a variety of balconies to use which meant you were not on top of each other . There were ample towels and lots of crockery and cutlery which meant you did not have to put the dishwasher on after every meal ! Easy walk to the beach and local bars and into the small town. Good location for sight seeing and lots to do and see within an easy 20 min drive - can highly recommend. Welcome food parcel was so appreciated and a lovely touch .

The house has everything you need to spend a stay away from mass tourism while being close to everything: two restaurants in the center of the village 3 min walk, two small grocery stores 5 min walk that have all the basic products for cooking, large supermarket and sandy beaches 10 min drive. The village is peaceful, the house stays cool despite the heat, the outdoor spaces are as shown in the photos, the beds are comfortable. We had a great time and communication with the host was very simple and responsive. Recommended! Just one thing to keep in mind with small children or reduced mobility: all bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are narrow.
