Beach Shack w/ Free daily ferry to Santo Island

JigneshRating, 5 stars14 months ago
It was Pleasure to stay here and meet Juss and locals. A place to connect with nature and happy livings. If oneself wants to disconnect to rest of the world then it’s a perfect place to stay. Only recommendations to Juss to have a solar panel rather than generator. Peace is at its peak here!

8+ Camp Sites

MeganRating, 5 stars81 months ago
We loved our two weeks at Lonnoc Beach bungalows with Kalmer and his family. We had a spot right on the beach front to camp. There is wifi included in the price and use of kayaks for free :) we had clean showers and a toilet and the restaurant was available if we needed it. If you fly into Santo get to Luganville town and jump in a public minibus, they usually leave after 2.30pm and will cost you only 500vt each. Then during your stay you can hitch hike to and from town or along the east coast for 500 per person. The luganville market have great fruit and veg for cheap too - mango’s and pomello’s for 15p!! During our stay we felt part of the community, making friends with Kalmers big family, going to church, eating with them and sharing stories. We definitely recommend camping here (if you have your own tent) and you’re on a budget but want to travel to Vanuatu.

Bungalow by the Sea

SuchitaaRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Our stay at Daniel's place was amazing!! The beachview from the place was beautiful. You can pre book your airport pickup and drop off and local tours with Daniel. It was nice to hear stories about the island and the local traditions and customs from him. Our personal favorite was the daily breakfast that Daniel delivers which consists of locally grown fresh avocados, papaya and banana. You also get free kayaks that you can use to kayak to Champagne Beach (we didn't go too far since we weren't confident swimmers and didn't want to go into deep waters) The restaurant close by is really good and has a few vegetarian options too. Overall, our stay with Daniel was great and we will definitely be back soon!!

Pangona Boho chic by the beach

AlastairRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a fantastic time at Loic's place. As described it is about 45min drive from Vila so having your own transport is highly recommended. A representative form the management company met us at the airport and we followed them the property as it was after dark. This was really helpful as otherwise we might have struggled to find the entrance (its easy in daylight). Devils Point Road is unpaved but didn't really need a 4WD (we were there at the end of the dry season). The property is pleasant and set in a fantastic location with world class snorkelling from the private beach. Sam and his family, who live next door, look after the property and kept us supplied with Paw-paw and coconuts! Mele Beach is about 20 mins drive away and the Friday night Fire Show is highly recommended. We enjoyed our time there and recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in stunning surrounds.

Nawori Seaview Bungalows N Tour Packages-Malekula

IbukiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We asked to stay on short notice, and even though we had many requests, you kindly accommodated us and took such thoughtful care of us—we truly appreciated it. Ettiene is very knowledgeable and always willing to share what he knows. Lynn is a wonderful cook and so kind, just like a real mother. The children were adorable—thank you for playing with us! Even though we didn’t understand English well, you spoke slowly and clearly as many times as we needed, which made it so enjoyable to talk with you every day. The location of the lodge was also amazing. We spent every morning relaxing and watching the sunrise between Wala Island and Rano Island. If you’re planning to join tours on Malekula Island, it’s best to bring plenty of cash in advance.

Breathtaking villa Easy Masari

JonasRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had an amazing stay. As soon as we got there (finding it was no big problem for the local cab drivers) we were amazed by the amount of love & attention that went into decorating and furnishing the place. From medicine to cooking equipment & the bbq, everything was in abundance and made to feel like home. Courtesy of this welcoming feeling is no doubt the lovely housemaid Eva, who looked after us with amazing care. As a group of students (ages 20-24) we enjoyed the privacy of the house and its perfect blend of comfort (amazing beds, helping hands of Eva etc.) and more adventurous aspects (bumpy ride getting there, rare power-outages in the night etc.). All of us agree that this house was the core to our amazing time on Vanuatu. We would highly recommend to get a car (4x4 pickup was our choice & we did not regret it), as mobility is key on Efate. Also, if at all interested, get an ATV. Fuel is cheap & the fun priceless. Thanks to Christiana and Eva for this unforgettable time.

Beachfront Bungalow

LauraRating, 5 stars17 months ago
Bungalow on a beautiful beach, clean, simple, efficient. We would have stayed there if we could. Canoeing available to go to champagne beach just next door. Breakfast included every morning on the terrace 2 steps from the beach. Restaurant next to the bungalow with many choices. Daniel is very responsive with communication. The only downside is the transport offered, is quite expensive from the airport to the cottage (8000 Vatu for 2).

Beautiful Studio right on the Lagoon and Beach

BrianRating, 5 stars72 months ago
Tropicana is a lovely resort on the banks of a quiet lagoon. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The resort is not too large or crowded and the bar/restaurant beside the water served a delicious breakfast and the best potato wedges we have had anywhere in the world. The staff were welcoming and friendly. we had not planned to stay here but booked a night when we were forced to stay in Port Vila for the night due to flight rescheduling. I'm really glad this happened, as it was a short trip to town and a lovely holiday experience in its own right. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Port Vila.

Paradise Point Escape

SallyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our incredible holiday in Vanuatu was cut short by the earthquake (Dec 2024) but we were very lucky as the staff at paradise point went out of their way to assist us and make sure we were safe. Thank you so much and also to the driver/tour guide recommended by our host who was with us during the earthquake and helped us. The local people were so happy and friendly throughout our stay and we hope that many more people will visit Port Vila when it is safe to do so. We loved our short boat trips from town to the house and back which were affordable and a lot of fun. They are a great option and will be essential to access the house until the road is repaired. Thank you haidi and your team in Port Vila for a fantastic four days. Stay safe x

1-Bedroom Bungalow in Beachfront Boutique Hotel

JackieRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Five blissful nights at South Pacific Memories were a real highlight of this trip. For snorkelling obsessives, the fish diversity right outside this boutique four-villa resort is the best I found in Vanuatu. Clouds of fish hover around the coral heads, schools swim past flashing silver, there are lobsters peeking out from crevices, squid, hundreds of wrasse, parrotfish and at least three types of triggerfish. We snorkelled here after breakfast every morning. The four villas sit behind the main house, restaurant, lobby, lounge and dive facilities. They’re two stories with rooftop decks to sit on and look at the stars, or dry wet clothing. Inside its spacious minimalism with concrete dressed up with colourful naive art. Good wifi, fridges, room safes, wardrobes to put away your suitcases and feel like you can settle in. Breakfast is included in the tariff and healthy and inviting! I found it very hard to leave this truly special place!

Island Magic Private Villa - Vanuatu

EileenRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Don's place is a unit at Island Magic Resort -- we were in Bungalow 10. The bungalow was very spacious, with louvre windows in every direction so ocean breezes were great. Snorkeling right from the resort was also great. Grounds were well kept. The resort was very quiet -- about 15 min from town. We had a car so no problems getting around but local transportation was also available. Highly recommend attending the cultural show on Saturday evenings. Restaurant served excellent food. Staff was excellent-- this is a small resort where they get to know you very quickly. Highly recommend Island Magic and Don's place!

Lope Lope Beach Bungalows- the Aese bungalow

DanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a fantastic stay, really comfortable accommodation, Sue and Jaimie really friendly and helpful. Beautiful sandy shallow beach ideal for kids. We saw lots of turtles not far off the beach, Dugongs one day too. We couldn't recommended this place enough. We booked several places as we wanted to see Aore Island too and this was by far the nicer accommodation and really well looked after in comparison to our other accommodation.

Bukurabeachhouse beachfront villa

PaulaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We enjoyed our stay immensely at this magnificent property. The direct and expansive views of the ocean, including a coral reef right in front, and the sounds of gently breaking waves, was an elixir for the soul! Bukura is a good 30 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of central Point Vila (depending on road conditions), but that is its appeal! A fully equipped kitchen made for easy food prep. The pool was immaculate. We loved the many separate spaces on the property set up to enjoy morning coffee, a leisurely lunch or sundowners, all while watching the sea. A pod of spinner dolphins cruising past was the icing on the cake! Robin was without doubt the most helpful and flexible host I've ever encountered on AirBNB, especially as we arrived only days after the 2024 earthquake. As promised, her neighbour met us at the gate as we arrived and showed us around. Robin promptly responded to any questions we had for the duration of our stay and could not have been more helpful.

FabianRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Lovely place to stay. Quiet and peaceful in a beautiful setting. Stunning sunset and beautiful settings. Lovely bungalow with all you need.and tasteful Deco and a good bed with good pillows and good mattress... 👍 Unfortunately we had some stronger winds that made snorkelling not possible at high tide. However at low tide easy to get in. Beautiful gardens with many different seating areas, entertainment areas. Even a pizza oven. The local on site caretakers are very lovely. Aklid just puts a smile on your face... And she is ready to help with anything it seems... Easy going and super relaxing... Thanks again...

The Jetty - Absolute water front

KylieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The Jetty is in a beautiful peaceful spot on the water in Surunda Bay. You will see picture perfect sunrises and you might even see a turle or two, if you look closely. The Jetty is well equipped and has everything you need. There is a couple of really great restaurants a few minutes drive away and close to most attractions on the East Coast. Robyn the host is very responsive and helpful. My husband and I have stayed here twice now and enjoyed our stay both times.

This our second long stay (10 days) at TBBH, we just love the location, swimming and snorkeling is very safe. We stayed in the 1 bed studio and found it very comfortable. If you are staying any length of time and want to self cater you will need to do a shop b4 you head up to TBBH. The fridge was big enough for our needs. For a night out it’s just a short walk to a resort. Willy and Marie, the local managers are so helpful.

SAILS BEACH HOUSE, Huge Designer Home 6 King Beds

ManonRating, 5 stars29 months ago
Amazing stay! The house is amazing Rooms were super clean, huge and not too warm at night The kitchen and rest of the house were also awesome Outside garden deck etc. Are perfect Private beach Having your own beach, where the water taxi picks you up and drops you everyday as well as the little swing makes it IG worthy! And we used snorkeling gears and kayaks! We had a lovely lady, Naomi (not sure if the spelling sorry!) looking after us helping us book water taxi, taxis etc. She was great The neighbor We had the best time with the neighbor Michelle who kindly drove us to the resort for dinner one night and invited us for some drinks at hers two other nights! Had the best time! Three only small things to note: - There is no wifi so it’s not possible to work remotely - It’s not as easy as slated to find the house! Best way is to mention it’s the house next to Michelle’s! - Could not use the buggy, no big deal but fyi

Towoc bungalows in Pristine waters

BennRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Janeth and Peter welcomed us into their family and showed us the most amazing time possible. The location and surrounds were pristine and almost dreamlike in quality. The village has a family atmosphere and is a beautiful thing to be apart of during your stay. The kids are happy and joyous which is super contagious. The coral reefs, only metres from the front door are sensational, the fishing is fantastic and the beaches offer true relaxation and privacy. This district is only recommended to those who can 'unplug' from the world happily, as it's quite isolated from communication (but it's possible if you need it), shops and night-life etc... But for those who seek some peace and tranquillity, it rivals any place on earth, my wife and I completely fell in love with the place and it's people and cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Janeth and your beautiful family for an amazing stay which we will never forget.
