Festival and Entertainment Lovers Very close lies the historic 17th century market town of Pezenas, where Moliere played for the Prince De Conti. It offers a multitude of events, expositions, concerns and plays. It is also well known for its antique shops and markets. Only 25 minutes away is Montpellier nicknamed ‘la surdouee’ the gifted. It is a vibrant town with numerous walks, old town and an abundance of festivals. Sete and it’s famous theater also offers events all year long. Food and Drink Lovers The region offers many interesting regional products for your tasting pleasure. Discover the ‘figues becos’ a type of fig from Nezignan Leveque, Le Petit pate de Pezenas. Fish and seafood and of course wine as the region is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. We have selected a range of regional produce from the surrounding villages, (no more than 7km from the chateau) which you can purchase in the chateau’s little shop. The salagou / sauna

2 km from Lake Salagou, in the center of the small hamlet of Mas Audran, a recently renovated country stone house. Peaceful hamlet without cars on the side of the mountain protected from the north wind or its micro climate in the middle of agaves and orange trees, you can walk to the lake in 15 minutes by road or by a path to reach the wild coast of Lake Salagou. The ruffe, (red sand) typical landscapes of Salagou will amaze you in all seasons.

Old Farmhouse with pool & garden

This farmhouse from 1610, 1 minute away from Sommières by car. You will be in a peaceful setting with no street noise and a 9x4m pool to cool yourself on hot summer days. The garden goes down to the river where one can go fishing. From certain spots you can see the Chapelle Saint Julien from the XIth century as well as the château de Sommières. There is a brasero and a pizza oven outside to enjoy time together outside.
