Vacation rentals with a patio in Vale of Glamorgan

This is a well presented apartment which is convenient for motorways and city. It is situated in the Bay area which has a number of restaurants and seemed safe. The area is quiet. There is no difficulty getting a taxi into the city or it is an approximate 20 minute walk. The apartment has its own off street parking space which is appreciated. It is clean and all kitchen appliances and bathroom fittings work well. It is most suited for a guest number of 2-4 as there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. There are two bathrooms which is very convenient. The mentioned lounge sofa bed is not a great extra accomodation option but that is similar to elsewhere. The hosts respond very promptly and helpfully to any enquiry. It is probably at the upper reasonable price range if there were only two guests. The owners offer earlier/later check in/out for an extra cost, ? slight unnecessary mercantilism. I do not have any hesitation in recommending this apartment for a short city break stay.

Great little place to stay. We booked the one with the private terrace which was perfect. Location is spot on too, very near town and only 10 minute taxi to the Bay. Annoyingly I didn't have time to use the shower but the bathroom was very tidy. Was quite weird that the door knew my name but also reassuring that we were in the right place. Not sure if I didn't read the info correctly but there is non permit parking that is quite reasonable right outside the property. I'd booked parking elsewhere but didn't need to. On busy days, it might be needed but we stayed on a week day. Definitely better than a hote and would stay there again.

Jolanta and I only had contact through the news. She is a likeable landlady and available at any time. Access to the apartment is via a key box - very easy to set 4 digits with number wheels. The apartment is very bright and friendly. It is very quiet at night (residential area). If you like to sleep in the dark, you have to take a sleeping mask or something similar for one of the bedrooms, as the street lamp is very bright. It didn't bother me. The other bedroom is inside. If you are a good walker, you can reach the city in 20 minutes and the Penarth Pier in a good 30 minutes. Penarth Pier is beautifully located on the Bristol Canal. You can also eat well there. Cardiff can also be reached by car in a quarter of an hour. Cardiff Bay (harbor) offers many pubs and restaurants. You can also go for a walk there. If I ever go back to the area, I will definitely stay in Jolanta's apartment again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

We spent 3 nights at Hayley’s place and it was absolute perfect! Exactly as seen in the pictures, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. The bed was very comfy! Coffee machine was a great touch! Will definitely be staying again :)

Aaron had made sure we had everything we needed including phone chargers which came in handy. The flat was very spacious, homely and well located. As a host Aaron was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a great stay.

The house was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for the five of us to feel comfortable. Communication with Mike was fantastic right from the start, he was incredibly helpful and responsive. While there’s no parking directly outside, as most of the area is permit-only, it wasn’t an issue for us, we easily booked a spot on the next road through Park on My Drive for just £5 a day. We also really enjoyed making use of the lovely garden. Thank you again.

We stayed for Christmas Day and it was the perfect setting. The house was decorated with a huge beautiful tree that my nephew was so impressed with. The house was spotless and very homely. The beds were extremely comfortable and all the linen smelt fresh and clean. I would highly recommend. Thank you Lyndsey.

Great location with good amenities. Ideal for a family of four wanting a long stay. Hosts were great to deal with from the original booking to our departure.

We had a lovely stay here and hope to come back again next year. The location is perfect, you can easily walk over to the island or further around the coast and have Asda just on the doorstep. You're also only a short drive from a whole lot of other attractions and walks, or visiting Cardiff. The train station is also just around the corner if you don't want to drive! The house itself is well equipped and feels comfortable for a family stay. They provided a stair gate and other equipment for our toddler which was a massive help. You are next to a road, but the back bedroom is nice and quiet and you don't really hear much with the windows shut at the front. The garden is a nice size and we enjoyed sitting out there of an evening. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent property with a wonderful host. House is exactly as the photos and after our last experience with another host, Maria and her house was exactly as the reviews and the extra touches didn’t go a miss. I stayed here with my family for a short trip to Cardiff. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer! The apartment itself was bright and modern, feeling spacious for our group of 6. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this apartment for couples, small families, or groups of friends visiting Cardiff. Its location in the heart of the city centre was incredibly convenient, making it super easy to explore all that Cardiff has to offer.

Great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Didn't appear to be much to do in the immediate area but it's a short walk to a bus stop with frequent buses into the city centre. Easy to check in and out.

Claire is very helpful and responsive. The place is in a great location, bus stop just around the corner and so many restaurants around. The place has iron hairdryer towels etc everything that you need. Even portable fans which is helpful in this weather. Would recommend this place !!

Absolutely fantastic place , stunning lay out , and the host Luke is brilliant guy so helpful even give me and my friend a lift in to the centre the next day to catch our train couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and a better host

Wonderful place for my weekend stay in Cardiff! Just as described, really lovely decor, equipped kitchen, everything was sparkling clean. The place has a lovely front-yard too! Overall I couldn't have asked for a better place and the host was super communicative and very flexible with my requests. I would definitely return and recommend this lovely flat to anyone. Quick walk to the heart of the city and in a quiet area if you're looking for some peace.
