Great stay with the family, it was a great camp like experience. Renier and Christian were very helpful and were ready to advise on anything we needed assistance with. Will definitely recommend and visit again!

Palala River Cottage - the perfect bush hideaway

MartinRating, 5 stars43 months ago
Palala isa great place to relax from the stress of normal life. Nicely tucked away next to the palala river you can go for great walks, explore the surroundings by car and have a nice braai in the evenings (or at any time you like). We were here for the third time and will come again next time in SA.

Butterfly Cottage, Waterberg Cottages

EloiseRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay at Butterfly Cottage was exceptional. The sunsets are breathtaking making it an unforgettable romantic getaway. The cottage is homely and comfortable, with everything you need. Philip's presentation about the stars was informative, comfortable and awe-inspiring. I'm not sure what we enjoyed the most - the pool, the cottage, the tuckshop, the horses, the bushveld, the game drive or the stars. Our stay was so much more than just a weekend getaway, it was an experience of excellence. I highly recommend you do as much as you can, you won't regret it!

Casa 77

JudithRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Kyle is an extremely kind host. He makes every effort to make sure everything works out, when arriving, checking in and even if there are other questions, he is available and responds within a very short time. He left useful tips in the house which restaurants he recommends (which was very useful). the house is very bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened. It is modern and very tastefully decorated and everything is sparkling clean. Highly recommended, we would choose it again at any time. thank you Kyle!

African Skies - Rustic Off-grid Farmstay

KevinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Sometimes getting completely OFF THE GRID and spending time with family and friends with no distractions, no wifi, no cellphone reception, solar electricity and a donkey geyser, collecting freshly laid eggs in the morning etc is so good for the soul. What an amazing place for a break from our busy lifestyles, a working farm/game farm with wildebeest and farm animals on your stoep, at night light a boma and watch the stars and milky way and listen to jackals in the distance, I will remember this getaway for a long time 🤩🙏🙏🙏

Tamboti Game Reserve - Limpopo Vaalwater Waterberg

DerekRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed. The nights out on the patio by the fire pit and under the stars were incredibly memorable. We were there with extended family, but I could see this as a perfect family or friend reunion location. I wish we had decided to stay longer. The house was well equipped with all amenities including decent wifi - very impressive for a rural location. Do be aware that the house is in a safe but pretty remote location (albeit only 3.5 hrs from Pretoria). This was a plus for us, but could be a minus for people that want amenities nearby. With that caveat in mind, I can't recommend the place highly enough.

Kudusdrift Farmstay

TacitaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Each detail was carefully thought out from the picture of the donkeys on the wall of the shower under the stars to the carving of the warthog in the paving on the way to the toilet. Oil lanterns light up the paths between sleeping hut, shower hut, living area…. Romantic, luxurious, old world…open thatched boma with a fire pit, a braai, a pizza oven…anything you can imagine, all comforts taken care of, lush gowns to wear to the shower, soft, inviting beds…off the grid! and then of course the welcome from Ann and Ludi..such warm, caring, creative, interesting people and their staff who make sure you rest and enjoy your stay. I loved being able to walk on their farm and to listen to the birds. We all loved having a more bush camp style stay yet with all the luxuries and amazing touches of Africa. Left well rested and happy!

Geothermal tiny home in Limpopo

BontleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place was easy to find, especially with the help of the host who shared a location pin and a video with clear instructions that guided us smoothly through the gate. The property is just as beautiful as the pictures: peaceful and perfect for anyone needing a reset or some quiet rejuvenation. There are local restaurants nearby if you’re keen to explore (which we did), and on our final night, we enjoyed an amazing braai at the venue itself. One of my favorite touches was the electric blanket—an absolute blessing during the winter chill, especially being so close to the river. The highlight of our stay was definitely the Hot Springs pool. Spending time in the warm water while the air was cold around us was pure bliss! The host was incredibly helpful and provided great recommendations on things to do and places to dine. The only thing I would’ve loved was a designated outdoor spot for a bonfire or an oil heater in the room. The nights were very cold, and it would’ve been nice to h
