Ravensnest, Grizzly Rose Guest Cottage

JonathanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Michelle's Grizzly Rose Cottage accommodated the four of us, and although storage may be a little on the tight side we were able to locate our stuff conveniently. Although we arrived late at night, Michelle was available provided clear instructions where to park and access our unit. The rooms in her cottage are an art lover's delight with each room having a theme. My wife and I stayed in the hummingbird room while our kids hung out in the southwestern/Indian themed room that befits southern Colorado. Our host attended to all our needs and then some. One morning she brought us a tray of freshly baked cinnamon rolls that were the softest and sweetest I've ever tasted it rivals that of Cinnabon! Needless to say that went excellent with coffee. We were headed to Pagosa Springs on Friday to experience the hot springs and she provided much needed towels and advice that saved us a bundle. We loved our stay with her so much I can't say enough to thank her for making our vacation great.

Cozy stay on a working farm in Cortez

YoliRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
3 reasons we chose this place: 1. The indoor decor Even more beautiful than the photos. Jessica has a great sense of style—every room feels intentional and calming. The beds were truly comfortable. The home is spacious, uncluttered, and easy to settle into. 2. The outdoor amenities and view The drive to the house offers breathtaking 360° views—mountains, farmland, big sky. The house itself sits among evergreens, private, quiet and mostly secluded. 3. The location Ideal base for exploring. We visited Mesa Verde, Telluride, and Arches in Utah. Well-situated for day trips. The setting is magic. The moment you pull in, it feels like a small sanctuary—birds calling, breeze in the trees, a giant rabbit hopping by. I’m pretty sure I heard a turkey. Distant chickens and a rooster add to the atmosphere. Cool mornings and evenings were both quiet and grounding, with space to breathe, rest, and reset after full days of exploring and long days out. This was the kind of place you want to return to

Nicks place was spacious and very private. And, of course, very near Mesa Verde. We would recommend it highly.

Sitting Bear Cabin

ARating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cabin is a perfect to get away from your normal routine, kick your shoes off and enjoy the 360 degree mountain view. We saw deer, geese, ducks, and local birds, as well as listened to the wild turkeys call out. The 5 acre pond is stocked with beautiful bass and trout, and the porch looks right on to the pond; something I don't have at home. The weather cooperated and we had just enough breeze coming through the house to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air. We ate at J Fargo's in Cortez and Steak Out in Delores, and we would go back to both. Rebecca responded to requests immediately and this cabin makes you feel at home. It is a great place to unwind. We will be coming back.

McElmo Inn with Hot Tub & Pond

MaryRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We visited Cortez for a Dark Sky adventure. In addition to visiting the national park/monuments in the area to see the night sky, we were able to enjoy the stars from the dock by the pond. The house is in a beautiful setting, which is very peaceful. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of room for our group of 7 adults. The hosts were very responsive and helpful when we asked for information on the area. The office area had lots of great maps and history information, too!
