Ruth’s place is an oasis in the heart Urubamba. The property is absolutely lovely and being that she and her husband both work in hospitality they know how to spoil their guests. The beds were the BEST we have had in Peru with blankets AND down comforters to ward off the winter chill. Her family is incredibly welcoming and warm and we felt at home instantly. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. About a 10+ Minute walk to the Main Street where there are plenty of food options and close by to the quaint plaza and artisan lined streets. This is the place!
A cozy corner features a wooden bench with colorful striped cushions beside a traditional wooden chest of drawers. A small table stands nearby adorned with a plant, while a vibrant rug adds warmth to the terracotta floor. Natural light filters through the windows, enhancing the inviting atmosphere.

The most beautiful and homely cottage in Urubamba

This is a wonderful base for exploring the Sacred Valley. We stayed for a week here and loved it. A beautifully decorated home full of textiles and antiques, the house is set in a wooded garden of eucalyptus trees shared with a few other houses. Our kids loved running around and playing in the trees. Urubamba has a great bakery (ask Lucia for tips). The Incan ruins and local sites are a short drive away. We did a wonderful walk to the Perolniyoc waterfalls and ruins. Highly recommended!

PERAYOC Cozy Blue Bungalow in Sacred Valley

We really enjoyed our stay at Juan’s place. The ultra king size bed is the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in. The room looks so much better in person than in pictures and is very private. The garden is beautiful with colorful flowers, birds and a stream. It feels like a sanctuary. Juan was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed in Urubamba. He offered to drive us around the city center to get some delicious bakery and do money exchange. He also offered us snacks and juice when he had some extra. It really felt like staying with a family member. Urubamba is a lovely city. The location makes a one day trip to Machu Picchu so easy. Mario, our driver is also very dependable and drives us anywhere and anytime we wanted for many days. We will definitely be back next time we visit the sacred valley.

Beautiful location that’s away from the busy zone but an easy walk from everything you might need. It’s run by hard-working, kind, really helpful folks who care about each other and their guests. Casa Urubamba, beautiful vacation home, Sacred Va

MarielaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
This house is stunning! The inside and the outside even better! We had a great relaxing time and enjoy the outdoors area (especially traveling with a small kid). The location is super quiet and private but the access kinda tricky! Be prepare for a very narrow and uneven road. I think it would be important to mention that the house comes with a house keeper person who needs to be pay daily out of your reservation, and that is not optional. We loved to have help in the house, but raised up our budget, for sure. Other than that Bruno, Daysi and then Flora are great! And you are going to love to stay in here :)

Everything was perfect regarding the house and the deal with Alvin and Dayana, they were very good hosts and helped us and responded immediately whenever we had any queries. In addition, they were very friendly in extending checkout hours at no additional cost. Regarding the house, it is very spacious to go as a family and has everything you need from kitchen and garden area to enjoy various family activities.
