Everything was perfect! Starting with Marika and her dad who are extremely kind. Very responsive to our requests or problems. A big thank you to Marika's dad, very discreet and with small touches... the oranges... a treat for fresh juice at breakfast! The house is beautiful, clean, it feels so good there! And the view, I don't even have words to describe how beautiful it is. Poros is a small town just 5 minutes' drive away. There is everything you need: grocery store, pastry shop, butcher, restaurant... Beautiful beaches not far away, we liked Skala and Kako Lagadi. We hope to return to Marika's, as our stay was one of the best we have had with exceptional hosts. The Krstic Family

This was a fantastic place to stay in Kefalonia! The house was very clean and was exactly what was listed in the description. It was nice and peaceful as it was surrounded by beautiful mountains. The host, Marianthi, was very kind, hospitable, and helpful to make our stay on the island as comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend it more!

Stayed 3 weeks so it was important we had a place we could feel at home. The house & garden is spacious, very private & with the most stunning views. Go up on the roof if you can, it's an incredible place to sit. The internet & television streaming services worked very well if we chose to stay indoors in the evening (we had some cool wet weather so having the streaming services and comfortable sofa/excellent kitchen for food preparation really helped). The bed was comfortable, the shower excellent (no shortage of hot water or power), & proper insect/blackout blinds really helped with the comfort. Poros is laid-back & friendly in a pretty setting. No shortage of good places to eat. Particularly enjoyed the eateries around the port & Fostis Family taverna by the beach. Watching the ferry going in & out was always a thrill & we used it to travel to the mainland, a fun trip. I really enjoyed the walk up and down the hill to and from the house. It was peaceful & a great full body workout!

What a great find. We stayed for a week, having booked at relatively short notice. The house was ideal: clean, quiet and spacious, with air-conditioning (vital for 40c heat in August), WiFi and full kitchen facilities. The location is a small village so nice and quiet with plenty of on street parking, but only 5 minutes drive from a small beach town with shops, restaurants etc. The whole island can be driven one end to the other in 1:30, so we where not particularly focused on location, but it turned out great, with the aforementioned small town nearby for quiet days or early morning swims, Skala (larger town, lots of restaurants, shops and taverns plus large sandy beach) just 25 mins away, and some amazing quiet shingle beaches with rocks and lots of fish, ideal for snorkeling with a child that gets sand everywhere, just a further 5 mins up the coast. Our host was very friendly and welcoming, checking us in in-person, and available to contact via phone of messages if needed.
