Beautiful setting with a historic feel to the property. David has retained the character and feel of a building repurposed for today's clientele. The property has everything needed for a short getaway or a longer stay. The gardens and orchard are spectacular with an array of birds and wildlife to watch. The bed is so comfortable we nearly didn't get up!. Fantastic short stay, thank you very much.

We had a lovely time staying in Dina’s loft. There were two separate rooms with a bathroom, which was perfect for us. Dina is an extremely friendly host and we had enormous fun chatting and laughing over a cup of tea before bed, and again over coffee and breakfast in the morning. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean (with impressively good shower pressure for a top floor), and the family were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. We are very grateful to have stayed with Dina and her family.

Really great host. Went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at home. Lovely house with plenty of space in the top bedroom. Also made us a nice breakfast in the morning which she didn’t have to do. Would definitely come again and would recommend to anyone who wants easy access to the city centre without paying silly prices.

Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

Such a beautiful place to stay - incredible views and so peaceful - just birdsong. The house was perfect - super comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, warm and clean. Thank you for the lovely bread too - such a nice touch. Would very much recommend.

A lovely stay with friends. The big house meant that we could all be together to share special memories. The children enjoyed playing in the beautiful grounds and the adults loved chatting around the big dining and kitchen tables. Lots of space to be together but also for time apart. We enjoyed Wallington and Chester Roman Fort, both within short drives as well as Corbridge. Thank you for having us at Hallington!

Had a great stay at Douglas’s place over the Great North Run weekend. The flat is ideally located close to the beach in South Shields so an easy walk from the finish line ! The flat is small but very comfortable, located on the top floor with a view over the rooftops. Parking was convenient in nearby streets. Highly recommend Douglas’s place for a visit to the area - excellent value for money. Many thanks.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

We cannot reccomend a stay at capheaton estate highly enough. A beautiful cottage, with comfortable and luxurious finishing touches in incredibly peaceful surroundings, responsive and helpful hosts. Such a wonderful place to relax, away from the busy world, but close to some great pubs and within reach of key attractions. Would happily stay again.

Lovely spot, very peaceful. Super cosy house, nicely decorated and fitted out. Very warm, loads of hot water and logs for the fire. Will return. Great hosts and Northumberland is an extremely friendly county.

We stayed in Alice, Lakeside Cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful. It had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. There were also some lovely unexpected touches left for us, like some nibbles, milk and a bottle of wine and a doggy box of pet items. All of which were very appreciated. The village itself was a little further out than I had thought but was stunning. With views of the lake and fields. So peaceful, and lovely to wake up to. As it’s a dark sky area, we did star spotting at night, and loved seeing shooting stars. Thank you great stay, both us and my in-laws had a great time and would definitely stay again, if in the area.

Perfect for we two and the dog. Great walks nearby. Spot the red kites when you're lucky, they are not to be missed. V comfy, home from home. Will definitely visit again
