The "haus in spay" is a historic half-timbered house, built around 1545 in the Moselle village of Zell-Merl. It is located not far from the river at the foot of a sun-drenched southern slope on the Moselle, the famous wine region with unique Riesling cultivation and Mediterranean culture. The monumental ensemble with the main house, the vacation home and steep garden was extensively restored in just under 10 years of construction and mainly in-house according to ecological and traditional criteria.

"Hunsrück Valley View" Holiday Home with SAUNA

A two-bedroom stylish and comfortable holiday apartment for up to four, with a terrace and picture-perfect view of the valley and mountains below. A cedar barrel sauna is available (at extra cost). The entire apartment was renovated in March 2024, including a new sauna oven (it gets really, really hot now), acoustic paneling, new kitchen with Bosch appliances (oven, dishwasher), rain-water shower, a washing machine with dryer, and new beds. You can also visit our herd of Scottish Highlanders!

However, you can also relax and enjoy yourself in and around your vacation rental: by arrangement, you can also use the sauna, pool, or hot tub (additional costs).

We didn't have the heart to tear down Grandma Hilde's house. So we renovated the house for 1 year and got as much charm as possible. Enjoy your own hideaway with a large sun terrace, the old half-timbered but modern facilities. The house is at the narrowest point of Starkenburg, so that you can enjoy the distant view towards the Mosel river and the beautiful Ahringstal. Welcome to Camphausen Velo & Wohnen. We have equipped the apartments as we would like for our vacation. A very cozy living and dining area with an open kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a sauna, another bathroom, a box spring bed in the master bedroom, double beds in the other two bedrooms, and a lovely outdoor area. Plus, we'll provide you with electric bicycles for the duration of your stay to explore our beautiful countryside.

Our beautiful, almost 250-year-old house offers you everything you need to relax in the middle of nature or spend time with family and friends. The large garden invites you to linger in good weather and thanks to the wood-burning stove and sauna you can also make yourself comfortable on rainy days. The house is surrounded by the fields and forests of the Hunsrück, the Moselle can be reached in a few minutes by car.
