Come stay in our Alaskan tiny home with a big view! Coffee & tea are provided and options for a homemade breakfast, when desired. Located close to Wrangell-St.Elias National Park and Valdez. Great location for skiing/hiking Thompson pass or cross country skiing/hiking trails around the property. Handmade log furniture and Alaska themed books and treasures we have collected throughout the years are in the tiny home for your enjoyment. We are dog friendly and have a German shepherd mix ourselves.

Wrangle Apartment upstairs and either Wolf Room and or Fox Room downstairs in our house You may reserve the apartment and up to two more queen rooms for a total of 9 people. Wolf and Fox Rooms share a bath. The number of rooms and beds are determined by the number of guests. 6 guests or less get one additional room, or 3 queen beds and a futon. 7 or more guests get two additional rooms, 4 queen beds and a Futon. (There is no range/oven, but there is a toaster, Air-Fryer, microwave, and hot-plate for all your cooking needs!) This unit is upstairs with about 12 steps to the top.

Thompson Pass Cabin (No cleaning fee)

This rustic and cozy cabin is located approx 19 miles north of Valdez on the Richardson Highway at the base of Thompson Pass. The accommodation offers world class access to “The Snow Capitol of Alaska”. Allwheel/4x4 is mandatory for winter access. The roads/driveway are maintained but I would still recommend 4x4/Allwheel. In summer (may-oct) the access is a gravel road that any car/truck can drive. The location is one of the highlights of this listing as well as the privacy.

Little House: Rural Two Bedroom Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Ellyn & Casey’s place. The house was exactly as pictured and had the essentials we needed for our visit to the area. This was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park as it fell somewhere in the middle between the northern and southern regions of the park. It is located in a very quiet area, but is a bit removed from town if that is something that is important for you (it didn’t bother us at all). Ellyn & Casey were communicative hosts who provided clear check-in/check-out instructions and detailed information for locating the property/cabin. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great cabin especially if you are traveling with kids, they loved bunk beds so much it was their favorite place from the whole trip. Great little cafe on the property and a really wonderful place for a day trip to McCarthy or on the way to/from Valdez

We had an excellent stay at John & Betty’s. The apartment was clean, open, spacious, and comfortable. John communicated beforehand to give clear directions and check-in instructions and we had no problem getting in. The location is quiet and peaceful with beautiful mountain views and a great porch for aurora viewing. Betty came by and answered any questions we might have and we got to meet Pixel, on of their sweet dogs. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and filling. We’d love to stay there again in the future!

The Bear Cabin I was staying in was very warm and cozy. The beds are extremely comfortable, especially for a guy that have travelled the whole day and just needed some rest. The bathroom is public, however it is basically shining. Overall my stay in Golden Spruce was totally worth it.

This place was very clean. The co-host lives really close to the property and is very nice. She helped us with our checkin as well. The wifi had some issues on the day we were there, but the hosts did everything to help us. The place is right off the highway and next to the National Park so perfect spot. The cabin and the outpost were clean.
