Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. Parking is right in front of the apartment as per the photos in the listing. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to check out.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage! While it is located on the host’s property, it felt private and secluded. Jo and Tim’s thoughtful touches and well-stocked kitchen were very appreciated. The views were incredible and feeding the cute alpacas was a fun experience. The overhang on the porch also came in very handy since it allowed us to use the BBQ during some rain. We would love to stay again!

"Home away from home". We felt very well there, the place is perfectly settled and very well equiped with all the confort and modern equipment provided. Carty and Sher are very welcoming, very helpful with advises on Turangi activités. Thumbs up 👍 Breakfast was kindly offered by the hosts, fresh milk, fresh orange juice, excellent honey, peanut butter, bread and croissants provided 🥰 Many thanks 👍🙏 See you next time for a trout fishing session 😃

Kylie and Dan’s Lochside Retreat was absolutely beautiful! It was cozy, tidy and a very inviting space to relax. It was just as described however more stunning in person! Kylie and Dan had left added touches with treats, a prepared fire and candles for the outside bath. A personalised note was left on arrival. I would 100% recommend. Thank you Kylie and Dan!
