Diane’s lake house was awesome. Peaceful and cute, right on the lake. The screened in porch is great at night and anything you need is within a 5-10 minute drive. Highly recommend this place.

If you’re looking for a serene and restful place to come “home” to after a day out and about…this is the place to stay! The central location allowed us to easily check out Boston, Newport and several Connecticut spots...including a winery & brewery only 10 min away! We also enjoyed down days simply relaxing at Erin’s place….by the fire, lounging by the water or taking a paddle around the lake. And anything you could think of they had…sweatshirts and blankets for outside by the fire, games, fully stocked kitchen for making meals in, steam shower, office space, and more. Our family of four (with adult children) had plenty of space to spread out and have time for ourselves, too. I also really like the mid-century modern decor…very nice touch :) Erin and Jaiden were great hosts. They were very responsive and provided detailed instructions and ongoing communications to ensure our stay was going well. Thanks again!

Memorial Day weekend was cloudy, cool and windy, so my husband, elderly mother and I were especially pleased to have a nicely appointed and welcoming home base for hanging out. From a large screen TV down to the smallest of decorative details, Nicole has thought of everything to make for a relaxing stay. Having rented other places, I particularly appreciated spotless cookware, new bath towels, comfortable beds, and to top it all off an espresso machine! My tea drinking husband kept the electric tea kettle warm all morning. All this and a very nice, peaceful water view with great bird watching. We look forward to returning.

Nice little getaway, very clean and comfortable. It is located behind a main home so not completely private but we had no issues, would stay again!

I have stayed at lots of places in the last few years . . . and this place ranks right at the top. It is beyond beautiful. The water views from the living room and both bedrooms made it hard to leave and come home. It's actually even more amazing than the pictures. Don't think twice! Book this place now!

We had an amazing stay! David was quick to respond with any questions I had and even came out to hook up the propane tank for the heated pool. I saw in previous reviews about the tricky driveway but David’s description of it is perfectly accurate and not any trouble, just a little steep but nothing super tricky to deal with! The house has a beautiful setup and view, very clean and so much space. Even though it was cold and rainy we had the most fun and peaceful stay at this home. The bride of the bachelorette group said she wants to book with David on her own just for another stay/get-a-way! Highly recommend this beautiful space!

We had a great stay at the lake house! It is in a great location--only 3-4 minutes from good restaurants. It's definitely set up well for families and my kids loved playing outside on the volleyball court. It has beautiful views from many rooms in the house because it is on a promontory on the lake. I highly recommend this place!

Everything about Tonya’s place was as advertised! The home was cozy, clean and in a beautiful setting. The kitchen was completely stocked with every pot, pan and knife you could possibly need. The lake was beautiful and the people we saw while utilizing the available kayaks were very friendly. We loved the decor or every room and would completely stay there again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

A truly lovely spot! Quiet, relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the water, reading on the patio in the lounge chairs and sitting on the bench overlooking the beach. We would love to come back again.

This was a lovely cottage and location, part of a private beach community, on a very quiet road, with partial views of the Long Island Sound. Gail was thoughtful to put out a nice welcome basket and some cold sodas and bottle water in the fridge. Perfect spot for two to three people. Close to Guilford main green, dock and nearby Stony Creek and Madison. We didn't make use of the bikes and kayaks bc it rained in the mornings, but we enjoyed one of the two beach just a few minute walk away. Jacob's cove area is a gem.

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

Fantastic! The cottage is cozy and clean, had everything we needed and the views are gorgeous! We loved our stay and highly recommend this beautiful cottage!

Mary Elle's cottage was the perfect mid week getaway. We found it clean and very cozy. Spent hours on the spacious deck enjoying the views on Cedar Lake. Paved driveway provided off road parking and easy access for unpacking and reloading our luggage. Already thinking about a return visit.

We did a last minute weekend with our 5 and 2 year olds and Catherine’s place was perfect. The bedrooms being upstairs away from the living area meant it was nice and quiet for the kids, they had life jackets in all sizes, and we visited a fun children’s museum 15 mins away. We had a few questions during our stay and Catherine was always quick to respond and super helpful.

We loved staying at this lakehouse! Our kids loved the bunk beds and we had everything we needed to make full breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked and clean. The neighborhood is very peaceful and if you need anything, Westchester Market is only 5 minutes away. If you visit the market and run into Kurly (you'll know him when you see him), you'll get lots of local recommendations and an entertaining conversation. Doreen is a wonderful host and gave us lots of recommendations for local restaurants, all of which were great. We stayed here for a week and highly recommend this cottage.

It was a perfect price. With the ABNB it was double+. I would rather pay John more for the one night personally, than what I did. And have done twice. I have always left the place the same or better than I found it. I understand the cleaning fee, but kills single fathers like me for a 1 night trip. That being said. Walker cabin is great! Kayaks, all safety gear, fully outfitted down to toothpicks, brushes, floss, ect. You think you forgot it. It’s there. Baby monitors!

A wonderful cozy little place to stay! We will definitely look you up again when we are back in the area!

We had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at lakeside landing! The house itself is a 10 out of 10, absolutely adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was sooo comfy and the views are just amazing! We enjoyed paddling around the lake during the day and the fire pit and hot tub at night! We didn’t leave the house once!! Highly recommend:)

Had a great time in this peaceful wonderful setting. Saw and heard maybe 40 bird species. (Using Merlin app). Frogs and turtles too!everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable!

This cottage was perfect for our family of 4 that simply needed a place to sleep and have peaceful mornings. We loved how quaint it was (although we got very lucky that the weather was mild otherwise sleeping may have been uncomfortable without AC). The bed in the sunroom was very comfortable and had a pleasing view of the lake that was delightful to wake up to. Karin was a very accommodating host and we appreciated her sharing her family’s treasured cottage with us! (The booklet she left on the counter - with her handwritten notes - gave us great restaurant recommendations!)

We stayed for a graduation near by, it was perfect for we were looking for. I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer to enjoy the water.

Very sweet cabin and lake area for a getaway. The cabin is nicely updated but still a rustic decor. Plenty of kitchen tools, coffee set-up, toiletries etc that are super useful. There is a private lake swim area that is a quick walk (4 minutes) from the house and a bigger town beach and also Bantam Lake a quick drive away. Nice dining (from casual to formal) and lots of ice cream options in the area. Our weekend was very hot so we only used the deck in the mornings for coffee but it was a lovely start to the day.

Amazing cabin!! My third visit. Was there with friends for fishing and I love the cabin so much that I booked my anniversary weekend and my wife is also in love with the property. Relaxing Birding Fishing Kayaking Fire pit Romantic This place has it all! Book it now! You won’t regret it!
