Tau Studio is a boutique style chalet with a modern stylish decor and a hint of luxury. Everything is provided including top quality linen. It is very spacious but also has a lovely cosy, warm feel. Perfect for couples. It is based in the lovely quiet village of Rangataua which is only a 5-minute drive to Ohakune township where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. The winter offers fantastic skiing and snowboarding, and summer offers lots of walks, mountain biking and fishing.

A spacious wooden deck features a large, shaded umbrella overhead, providing shelter for a picnic-style table below. Surrounding greenery enhances the outdoor setting, with open views of the surrounding area and a quiet atmosphere.

The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. Parking is right in front of the apartment as per the photos in the listing. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to check out.

This home is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible. The design and comfort are top notch. We enjoyed the walking track and found everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Loved the attention to detail—down to the custom-labeled light switch icons. We hope to visit again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jodie’s place for a special family reunion. It fit all 11 of us easily and didn’t feel cramped. It was tidy and clean, and when we accidentally locked ourselves out at one point we were able to call and get back in within minutes! We all talked about coming back one day, as we enjoyed the space so much. Thanks Jodie.

Raylee’s home was truly exceptional. It was peaceful, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay unforgettable. The views of Mt Ruapehu were stunning, especially from the hot tub, and every detail in the home reflected care and comfort. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, the beds were luxuriously comfortable, and the space was spotless, warm, and welcoming. We loved the blend of modern convenience with nature’s beauty and the easy access to trails, town, and the mountain. Raylee was an outstanding host who was responsive, kind, and full of local insight. This was more than just accommodation. It was a deeply nourishing and restful experience. Every moment felt spacious and grounding and we left feeling so grateful. We would return in a heartbeat. Absolutely five stars in every way. Thank you Raylee for your aroha and generosity. Your place is a true gem.

Jodie is an incredibly responsive host. The space is exactly as pictured and she gave detailed instructions on the app and within the cabin. The cabin itself is perfect - it’s modern with all the amenities and incredibly cozy. I loved the bath products! The cabin is nestled in a small community with an amazing view of Mt Ruapehu. It was a perfect getaway during our NZ roadtrip. Our only regret is not booking a longer stay. We will book again the next time we’re back! Thanks for a great trip, Jodie!
