Founded about 1200, the Nikolaiviertel (Nicholas' Quarter) of Alt-Berlin, is the reconstructed historical heart of the German capital Berlin. In its center, the Nikolaikirche (church) is worth the visit.

The Nikolaiviertel on the Spreeinsel is the oldest settlement area in Berlin Mitte. The old-town quarter with coffee shops and restaurants was reconstructed in the 1980s according to historical models. Our favorite: The historic Brauerei with home brew beer in ONE-METER-VERSION. You have to try :)
