The unusual red sandstone Curfew Tower is situated in the centre of Cushendall village. It was built in 1817 by Francis Turnley then the landowner of the village to confine riotous prisoners!! Francis Turnly made his fortune in China and based the design of the building similar to one there. It was sold in recent years and now is used as a residency for Artists. The tower is closed to the public.
