This beautiful structure was built in 1850 as a summer residence on part of the Antrim estate and later changed to a hotel from 1899- 1939 before becoming a boys boarding school in 1950. It then became a day school and recently amalgamated with 2 other local schools to become St Killians College. Worth taking a walk around the fabulous grounds of this amazing building.

Rathlin Island is situated off the town of Ballycastle on the North Antrim Coast (15 miles from Cushendall). It is famous for its puffins, seals, golden hares and wildlife. There is a ferry from Ballycastle with sailings daily. The island is well worth a visit for its walks, lighthouses and wildlife. There is a local pub/restaurant, a hotel and coffee/craft shops. Would highly recommend for a visit, particularly in good weather. Bring your walking boots and rain gear, maybe a picnic and spend time exploring the island.
